When I look back on this Wrestlemania the theme seemed to be: WWE taking risks and with their young talent. Whether it was the first MITB being won by Edge, to Chrsty Hemme getting a match Trish Stratus, tag champs facing off, Carlito and Muhammad Hassan both being in segments with HOFers, a young Orton taking on Taker, a Sumo match, and two fresh new babyfaces getting a chance to be world champion. Also it's last Wrestlemania during the brand split where both world titles changed hands.

This Mania is special for me cause this was around the time when I got back into pro wrestling after being away from wrestling for about 5 plus years. I got back into wrestling about 2 weeks before this Mania aired. It was just refreshing to be around wrestling again, and seeing my first Mania since 2000. This Mania looking back was a good Mania. You had the Austin, and Pipers Pit segment where Austin called Carlito "Nappy Headed", and Hogan made a surprise appearance. A lot of highlights at this Mania. You had Batista going over HHH, and this match may had been the weakest on the card excluding the Akebono and Big Show sumo match, and also that Trish Stratus VS Christy Hemme Womens title match which was not very good. I still though Batista and HHH told a good story in the ring. Just the weakest in number of good matches on this card. You had the coronation of Cena. Randy Orton, and The Undertaker tore the roof off and for me I remember not having very high expectations for this matchup, but it to me it overachieved. We had the first Money In The Bank Ladder natch which was incredible. I will never forget that Shelton Benjamin spot of him running up the later to clothesline Jericho. Unbelievable. Then we had one for the ages in Michaels VS Angle. This match was almost flawless. It was a masterpiece between two of the greatest. Last thing which is sombering, this was Eddie Guerrero's last Mania appearance. Very good show.
