As a goth girl, I'm not really a seasonal lipstick wearer, but fall colours are my favourites to wear year round. I love rich reds, blackened plums and berries and burnt oranges even just jet black. Alot of the dark colours is what I reach for around spooky season. I've recently gotten into black sheer glosses they're so chic, dark and beautiful 🖤

Love fall teamed video's. Fall is the season I take time to wear a bit more makeup and wear darker colors on the eyes together with a good nude on the lips ( velvet Fawn). Or pull out my dark red dress and pair it with my velvet jazz lipstick, together with a more red toned blush. I wear more velvets from LE in the fall and wintertime. ( this video reminds me to rearrange my make up)

@@lisgelfling1031so glad you were able to find your perfect red. If you can't get your hands on Meet Me In Berlin, a close option is Merit 1990. It's not identical, but very close. Equestrian is an amazing shade. If you decide to get it, I hope you'll love it.

Lipsticks, my favourite!! I’m not into seasonal colour choises at all but I’m always into lipstick recommendations! Lisa Eldridge is always a favourite and I was hoping for new lippies this launch but I read a comment that there probably will be something new in October. I did however place an order for Sweed Le Lipstick in Penelope Rose, curiousity got the better of me, which will be here early next week.

For fall, I tend to go more for the rosewood, berry, wine and plum colors. Velvet Blush is a favorite for sure, as is Velvet Muse and Meet Me In Berlin which reads plum on my lips - and Natasha Denona Retro palette goes into my top drawer. Elegant Veil from Face Stockholm is hands down the perfect autumn color for me and the most nourishing formula I’ve tried. Cool toned nude lips as well, like Chanel Boy. It was a great video!

the easiest browns I have are Cannage from Dior in the Addict formula, Meet Me in Berlin from Lisa Elidridge, and 1990 from Merit. I also really love the YSL Candy Glow in 6B. I've really been leaning into brown lipstick!

@@nickimontie it's very similar to Meet Me In Berlin. I LOVE 1990, and it's $10 less expensive. The only reason I prefer the LE lipsticks is because Lisa has an eye for color and creates extremely nuanced shades. More than any other brand I've tried. It's the beautiful formulas and nuanced shades that keeps me coming back.

I adore the equestrian shade of the merit lippie. I actually just picked up one of the new NARS explicit lippies and the pink cloud set for same day Sephora delivery lol. That Bisou balm looks beautiful, too. Need to dive into them next 😊. As far as Fall make-up, I don’t adjust to season as I just love all make-up and colors lol

I love that you don't adjust shades of makeup to seasons. I certainly do, but it's something I got used to doing when brands (Lancome, Clinique, Estee Lauder) used to come out with seasonal makeup in the years before Sephora. I can't shade the need to mix up what I've been wearing when the seasons change. Equestrian is such a favorite, and I'm sure it looks smashing on you. I'll have to look for the Pink Cloud set. I'm not sure what that is. I just received an order from Sephora yesterday, and I'm awaiting my new shade of The Minimalist from Merit. Still up to my eyebrows in new makeup, but I'm happy!

A charming video. I have cool coloring and I plan for the fall: Cabernet by Lise Watier with a gray eye shadow by Physicians Formula; Wanderlust by Ilia with a blue eye shadow from the Métropolis eye shadow palette by Lise Watier; and Fuchsia, #776, by Clarins with the Chantecaille "tiger" green eye shadow. Where I live the leaves have already started to turn.

You can put on bright red as a pale skinned person e.g. if you wear bright clothes or have dark hair, if that would make you feel more balanced. For example, red lips with a green sweater or even a saturated grey shirt :) It's overwhelming at first, but one gets used to it very quickly and realises that people aren't staring at you or anything ;)

Velvet Cinnabar looks 🔥🔥🔥 on you! I’m so jealous; despite my best efforts, I can’t get it to look like anything but a warmer, almost black-brown on my paper-white face 😅 Edit: re your question, my “Fall” is actually Australian Spring, and I tend not to switch my makeup colour preferences at all, as we’re pretty seasonless in this part of the world. However, when we travel North for the Winter (Australian Summers are nothing short of intolerable), berry tones are a forever favourite 🍒🍓

@@thelipstickgal I’ve finally made peace with the total lack of harmony that exists between my skin & warm-tones generally (thankfully I don’t miss the warm corals and reds of 2012-16 too much), but I do opt for warmer iterations of traditionally “cool tones”, which feels rebellious and fun. Sheer, warmer berry/wine colours are my favorites for evening (Fitglow Beauty’s tinted balm in Gospel, Westman Atelier’s Garçonne, and Chantecaille’s Sunstone Lip Sheer in Optimism are great, especially paired with MUFE’s Wherever Walnut liner, or Fitglow’s Buff liner). Did you grab any of the new Lisa Eldridge liquid shadows, or the Fawn palette? I’m sure I won’t get much use out of either, but the temptation is SO STRONG 🥲

Thanks for a fabulous video! I absolutely love that Chanel formula! My favorite fall shade is Brun Affirme, it looks slightly lighter than Velvet Cinnabar. I plan on getting a couple Nars lipsticks once I’ve used up some that I have. The old Nars satin and sheer formula was my favorite for a very long time. The Nars website has a new version of Tolede (my all time favorite pink). It’s only available on the website so I can’t swatch it which makes me nervous lol. Charlotte Tilbury Mark of a Kiss is my favorite red for fall, it’s warmer and slightly muted which is perfect for me. I usually do wam, muted colors in the fall. Nothing too dark though, vampy colors don’t look great on me.

That Chanel Extract formula is heaven. Such a beautiful and comfortable formula! I like the new NARS Explicit lipsticks, but wish they were closer to the Audacious lipstick formula which was creamier and more opaque. I do love Tolede. I might have to pick that one up. I wish they sold the entire range at Sephora and didn't have website or NARS store/counter exclusives. I haven't see the CT shade you're talking about. I have Patty Red, and it's a full on bright red that is so bold. I like these warm muted shades for fall, but I also want some punchy colors. Thanks for watching today.

Thanks so much for watching today. (and my older videos) I haven't swatched the Spike Valentino next to any LE lippies, but I'd expect that it would be close to Velvet Muse is very close. Muse has more berry to it, but I'd say it's 95% similar. If you have Velvet Muse, you wouldn't "need" the Valentino. It's called Couture in the Streets. I love the two shades you mentioned. I nearly put Sorcery in this video, but it was too much LE!

@@yilmazmelanie1685 mid to high end options, Charlotte Tilbury, Lisa Eldridge, Merit all make excellent mattes and satins. I like the Estee Lauder cream formula, I like the original cream formula from NARS. Makeup by Mario's and Clinique satin lipstick formulas are really nice too. On the more expensive side ($40-$49) I like both the mattes and satins from Dior, YSL makes amazing satin lipsticks in both the Rouge Pur Couture and The Bold formulas. The Armani satin formula is also beautiful. That's plenty of options. I don't want to overwhelm you. I hope that's helpful.

@@magsB2210 if you're not ready to jump into a bold red, look for one that's sheer. Something like a balm. If you can get your hands on the Bisou Balm from Violette FR, there's a red one that's stunning and you can wear it lightly it build it up. There are actually shades that aren't red, but will read as a red depending on your coloring. I can wear some deep pinks and they look like a red lipstick. Same with a burgundy. If you're not ready for a red, find a shade with a smidge of red in it and try that out. Also remember that you can blot down any lipstick, sheer it out with gloss or balm, or mix a few together to create a different color. Just a few suggestions. Happy 60th birthday! @thelipstickgal thanks for suggestions. I have problem with my lipstick migrating to skin under my lower lip. I've gotvthe Tom Ford lip balm in red hue. Maybe I should try building that up

@@magsB2210 what lip liner do you use. What if you find a shade that's the same shade as your natural lips. Line them, then put on the balm. You could also look for a clear lip liner that acts as a barrier to keep your lip color from migrating without the use of color. I don't currently have one, but I have in the past. They work fairly well. These days I'm using traditional lip liner to keep my lipstick from migrating

Does anybody know of a dupe for the merit equestrian? I have an allergy to sesame which is in their matte formulas and wondered if anybody had any suitable comparisons 😊

@@daisy4645 I'm sorry but I don't have that many deep browns. Lisa Eldridge makes Velvet Sorcery, but when blotted, it appears more rose in tone while the merit appears more red. Velvet Sorcery is a cooler shade overall. Have you tried 1990 in the satin formula from merit? Does it also have the sesame oil in it?
