The best part about Idol Stevens was that Vince apparently once saw an indie match with the guy and said "WE NEED TO HIRE THIS GUY" despite the fact that he had been with WWE and competed on a pay-per-view already.

Bein lucky enough to live in the hub of OVW territory back in the RA era, I got to see a lot of big future stars come through town when they were developmental. Brent Albright went by that name in OVW as well and he was amazing to see. You were spot on in saying his rise and fall was odd. He had crazy potential. Him vs Benoit (all scandal aside based on work rate alone) would have been amazing to see.

On December 5, 2004 Stamboli wrestled in All Japan as a fake Great Muta against the actual GREAT MUTA, the following year he dropped the Muta gimmick and was a founding member (with TARU) of the stable The Voodoo Murders but Stamboli left the promotion soon after. He's been working the Phoenix based IWF since 2011.

Bro gunner scott could of really been a solid mid carder in wwe
@tempestfennac96875 жыл бұрын
I enjoyed his wrestling so I think he could have got higher than the midcard if he was actually pushed decently (and if he used his own name; Gunner Scott just sounds ridiculous). I remember hearing somewhere that they sent him back to OVW because they decided he wrestled too much like Chris Benoit, which is idiotic when you consider how they also told him to wrestle like that. It would have probably made more sense to have him debut on RAW instead with this in mind.
