@@zatchbell4275 they aren't talents and it's not because Vince... Vince not even manage WWE today's. It's his son and daughter... But it's also bc of Benoit's tragedy... Linda McMahon left for politics. WWE in short time became PG. Stars like Batista hated that decision to go PG so they left... Michaels, Edge and more retired. Taker and Triple H became part-timers. Wrestlers like The Rock and Lesnar came back, won world championships but as part-timers... Wrestling never be the same the last good year that I can say that was good (not crazy). It's 2014 bc in the second half of 2014 after Batista left, Taker streak over, Cena started to be mid card...

I also love the Ruthless Aggression Era, but IMO what most people miss are the superstars in the Ruthless Aggression Era. The only Ruthless Aggression superstars still in WWE today are Edge, Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, Bobby Lashley, Brock Lesnar, Shelton Benjamin, MVP, Rey Mysterio, Kofi Kingston, John Morrison, The Miz, and Natalya. Most WWE fans miss seeing wrestlers like John Cena, RVD, Big Show, Batista, Chris Jericho, The Undertaker, Carlito, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Matt Hardy, D-Von Dudley, Bubba Ray Dudley, Christian, Kurt Angle, Scott Steiner, John "Bradshaw" Layfield, Ric Flair, Brian Kendrick, Paul London, Tajiri, The Hurricane, Kane, Chris Masters, Santino Marella, Trish Stratus, Lita, Mickie James, Melina, Kelly Kelly, Jillian Hall, Layla, Michelle McCool, Sable, Stacy Keibler, Christy Hemme, Victoria, Maria, Torrie Wilson, Beth Phoenix, and Candice Michelle. I bet if.

The music, the merchandise, the video games, the title belts we used to bring to school, the action figures, the heated conversations over which show was better between Raw and SmackDown…I miss it all so much. The RA era was WWE’s seamless transition into the 21st century - easily able to mesh mainstream pop culture with what made it great in the first place: hardcore wars between two men that some scores to settle. It was a damn-near perfect blend of the grittiness from Attitude Era and the grandiose brought forth from a new generation of superstars that only wanted to perpetuate the raw emotion and intensity from when they watched the program at younger ages. I just wish the “E” could return to a semblance of its savage nature that made it so great, seems to me that they want to make the product so squeaky clean nowadays. Great video as always.

Spot on video! Trish was and still is my biggest crush and was the first person I ever felt something for lol. And yeah the video games especially were hits, I played the shit out of Smackdown vs RAW 2006 every day when my uncle passed me down his PS2 back then. Good times and lucky I still have it in my living room hooked up with 😂

Ruthless Aggression era takes me back to sneaking and recording smack down on my VCR and watching it when my parents were asleep. One of these days I’m gonna go back and watch Royal Rumble 2004 and Wrestlemania XX because Chris Benoit was hands down my favorite wrestler as a kid, and a part of me still wants to remember him as he was.

And the fun fact that we even still got Austin, Rock, Goldberg and Hogan in this era too is just insane. It's pretty much peak WWE for me, Attitude Era was fun as and everything was super awesome. But Ruthless Aggression Era just tuned into the emotional aspect of Pro Wrestling so well. Not just WWE but also TNA and ROH too. The Memory Will Never Die.

austin only wrestled one match (wrestlemania 19). he was still an on screen character until 2004 I think? rock also wasnt there that long he had the great triple threat at vengeance 2002, lost to brock the next month at summerslam. then he disappeared for a few months coming back around January 2003 as a heel. wrestled Hogan at no way out 2003, then Austin's retirement match at wrestlemania then put over goldberg at backlash 2003 and he was gone. five ppv matches. not that much. its crazy but Hogan and even Kevin Nash (he had a big feud with triple h in 2003) were a bigger part of the ruthless aggression era than Rock and Austin .

Im from Germany and we overseas had the same childhood with one difference. Only Smackdown was airing in free tv. So smackdown stars like the undertaker in that time have a higher standing for us than a triple h for example. But still it was always exciting to see raw stars in video games or in Highlights that were shown on smackdown. Also it was really hard for our generation to watch the pvp s. With a 6-9 hour difference to the US making it almost impossible to watch and our parents would never have allowed us to pay money for tv. Maaan those saturday night Smackdown shows ,one day after airing in the us, had a huge influence on us here

I was born in 89' so I grew up through the WWF new generation with bret Hart, an emerging mega star named Shawn Michaels, Yokozuna, etc. I watched WCW and seen its rise and fall, the monday night wars, the attitude era, and beyond. Yet the ruthless aggression era to me is the epitome of professional wrestling. It had the perfect balance of great wrestling and clever enough storylines to keep you engaged. Unlike say the attitude era where the wrestling took a backseat to the over the top drama and characters. When you had brock lesnar, eddie Guerrero, kurt angle, edge, undertaker, rey Mysterio all on the same brand and in their primes, i think people don't realize the level of greatness we got to witness in 2002-2006 WWE.
