I own oud minéral and Hermes EdT The oud minéral really smells niche. It’s woody, oudy, aquatic but even more dry. I absolutely love it. Terre is just a blind buy. I feel like you shouldn’t buy it if you’re younger than 20. but if you’re older it’s a blind buy. I also got a aventus clone with mantblancs explorer. I didn’t want to spend the money for Aventus and when I first sprayed explorer I directly thought „oh so THIS is what Aventus smells like“ without ever smelling the original. It’s just a scent I’m sure you’ve smelled somewhere else before. The most compliment getter and also my favorite parfume defs is ombre leather though. Such a Great scent!

I’m like 3 min into your video and I gotta give you props, your points are so damn intelligent and well-stated. As someone who now has probably 40-50 fragrances that ranges from niche to designer to clones, it’s rare that I get compliments from people whom I don’t know… and we all know that a scent like Layton is amazing! I’ve truly learned to wear fragrances for myself and enjoy my own scent of the day / night. Keep making content that intrigues! I appreciate your topics 💪🏾

Different people have different tastes. I get compliments no matter what I'm wearing but at my job there are certain women who compliment me on one fragrance but not the others and others who compliment me on the ones she doesn't compliment me on. Just goes to show it depends on who you're around and what they like. At the end of the day it is more important that you like it but if it's in my collection then that means I like it.

This is all so true though. Confidence in yourself and your chosen fragrance also influences people. I was wearing Nobile 1942's Malvs and someone in the bus actually went out of their space to ask me what I was wearing because it's been ticking at them the whole time and they thought it was "calming yet alluring" (they could tell it was me because I take the bus at 5:30am so it's almost empty). That's the last fragrance I thought someone would ever compliment me on because while it's vanillic and sweet (lots of myrrh) it's also kind of churchy. I love the stuff to bits though.

Three fragrances got me compliments. One is an obvious one, Dylan Blue, the other is a older one that I personally love, it's Givenchy Gentlemen the original 1974, which repeatedly got me compliments from total strangers, without even any sort of interaction, like people passing by in a store type situation. I think also dressing clean and tastefully is a contributing factor. The last one was TF Tobacco Vanille, and it was only on one occasion.

Not gonna lie, I love when someone compliments my scent as do you all but I never put any frag only for compliments, I wear it for me first and foremost and then compliments are bonus.

I never wore for compliments, but for the pure dominance of smelling the best. I remember not knowing about fragrances until I started watching more fragrance reviewers and I discovered. I discovered online discounters and clones. From that point I cut the middle man aka the mall and rack stores and found good deals. I get compliments 3-5 times a week and the main one is "You allways smell good" I wear cologne because I like having my own scent bubble for the day. This is my world and this is my world's scent for the day. Today I wore armaf enchanted royal (main note: honey suckle) layered with al harmain gold edition. Great selection Justin! I only have ideal homme edp. The cherry note which is not listed smoothes out from that medicinal cherry opening. Im gonna get cherry punk extrait de parfum. The reviews on it got me very intrigued. However, he offers so much more, and that's not counting the new releases. Yall don't get enough credit for reporting your data and explorations. I recently went back to the Tom Ford boutique nearby where I bought another private blend bottle and the saleslady who I knew started to ask how was the Oud Minerale bottle I bought the previous week :)) She wasn't a fan of it either so she kept on asking me what I liked about it. But that scent truly is unique and is not as funky on the dry down. I do hope you get your nose on the signature blend soon because I'm curious how different the scent is compared to the private blend version. Love your vids man!!!

I got more compliments the first day I wore Oud Minerale than I got the rest of the year. I sprayed it on my wrist to test it at a Neiman Marcus and was walking out of the mall on the other side an hour later when a woman stopped me in the doorway and said "what are you wearing? It's incredible..." So I turned around and walked all the way back to NM and bought it. I got five or six more compliments that evening/night. It's a weird scent, but some people are just inexplicably drawn to it. Finally, don't mistake this for a winter oud scent. This is absolutely amazing as a warm weather stunner on a night out, when it stands out from the nameless, faceless hordes in their blue and/or citrus fragrances.

Gents Scents did a poll last year asking people for lesser known fragrances that have gotten his subscribers lots of compliments, and there were over 339 different fragrances named. Everything from $10 cheapies to $400 niche, fresh clean citrus to sticky booze to earthy vetiver and everything in between… and that’s being asked for “lesser known” ones… It just shows (as you’ve said before), you can get compliments from basically any fragrance (excluding most of the edgy/unusual artistic challenging stuff that’s designed to smell unpleasant), so just wear whatever you love and don’t overspray and most people will think you smell good. P.s. I feel like this video would hit harder if you didn’t look like a model and have a voice smoother than the finest Persian silk - let’s be honest, you could stink of B.O. and people would still compliment you on your muskiness… 😜
