The Aventus DNA has been so highly regarded partly for its versatility. It's a scent that fires on all cylinders. The woodsy component works well in colder weather, and the fruity component works well in warmer weather. The two sides, despite being such opposites, work in perfect harmony when tied together with the florals, musk, patchouli and ambergris. It's not just hyped for the sake of it. They really hit it out of the park with that one. Aventus isn’t even my favourite but I'll give it credit where it's due. So yeah, it's a warm weather scent. It's an anywhere anytime scent, really.

My go to fragrances for the summer are all pretty basic choices really ADG Profondo, Polo Deep Blue(kind of similar to profondo but got a couple differences), Mercedez Benz Man, and Dior Homme 2020(my 'signature' scent of sorts), and today I tried YSL Y EDP for the first time and I like it but don't love it. Gonna see if it grows on me.

I wish they would have brought back L'Homme Idéal Cool. I think that's a better fragrance than Platine Prive. Platine just seems a bit "blah" as does the Cologne obviously. Cool has a nice zing with the Spearmint. Maybe next year they will bring it back, or a re-imagination of sorts. 🤞

I absolutely LOVE Hacivat, and wear it regularly here in Houston….even in the heat lol. However, I have never had anyone say they like Hacivat, even smelling it out of the atomizer. All I get is juicy pineapple, with that earthy oakmoss underneath, but some of the comments I’ve gotten from people smelling it out of the bottle: “Smells like an old Christmas tree” “Smells like grass and dirt” “Smells like wet dog” - My girls go to any time I wear it “It smells like burning gasoline” “It smells like burning tires” Sooooo idk how I get a very enjoyable pineapple, and everybody else gets terrible awfulness, buuuut that is where it’s at. I wear it less because my girl absolutely hates it, and my co worker made the burnt gasoline and burning tires comments, and I don’t want to offend their noses lol. It has limited where I can wear it, even though I love it. I really can’t wait to check out Hacivat X!

Couple yrs ago I gave a glowing review of Legend Spirit on Fragrantica. I'm on my second bottle. But honestly, I don't recv compliments or comments while wearinhg. Not even from friends or family. I do get compliments with other fragrances, so I'ts not me. Its an easy reach, but irrisistible? I think Armaf Hunter Intense is a better alternative.

@10:35 About L'Homme Ideal Platine Prive I wanted to comment something: just got the once again available Zara Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes (allegedly very similar to Louis Vuitton Imagination, currently the #1 fragrance for men in Parfumo.) The Zara smells great, fruity fresh, but to me it strongly reminds me of L'Homme Ideal Cologne, which I also own. In fact I have smelled Imagination, but I can't recall it reminding me too clearly of L'Homme Ideal Cologne, so must try to resmell Imagination. In any case, I'm guessing all of these ought to be in quite a similar scent profile ballpark: - Givenchy L'Homme Ideal Platine Prive - Givenchy L'Homme Ideal Cologne - Zara Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes - Louis Vuitton Imagination
