I have to disagree, if it's a large collection, there's absolutely no reason to buy big bottles. You'll never end up finishing the bottles and it'll be a constant cycle of buying new fragrances you don't actually need. It's a useless way to procure a collection. I've got multiple 1-1.7 oz bottles in my collection (30-50ml) and I still haven't even put a dent in most of them in rotation.

One ml lasts for about 15 sprays. I never use more than 3 sprays. That means I can wear a 50 ml bottle on 250 days before it gets empty. The only reason why I would need a bigger one was if I used the same signature scent for all seasons. Because after a year I might not even like the fragrance that much anymore.

Chris Wilson I have them and they do smell nice. Lately I’ve been leaning on YSL l’homme. To me it just smells good, fresh and classy. It’s been difficult for me to actually dig a summer fragrance. I have most of every fragrance named in every video lol and to me they are decent but not like “damn that smells good” When I grab D&G the one it smells incredible. I’ve struggled to find another scent that I love.

Another good video and great recommendations! I enjoy the content of your channel. I agree with all of your recommendations, except CH Prive. In the case of this fragrance, I blind purchased it based on Jeremy’s video and frankly, I’m very disappointed. First of all, I own over 100 fragrances, I’m on my 40s, I dress formally during the day and casual/sport at night. I’m no perfume expert but I have had a chance to wear many of them, designer and niche, so I think have some good experience. The opening and a dry down of this fragrance are completely different. The opening is fresh with tones of grapefruit, thyme, lavender, cardamom, and sage. It really feels fresh and somehow elegant, but please note the word “somehow”. These notes disappear very quickly leaving behind what Carolina Herrera calls whiskey and leather notes, but in reality, these notes smell more like some type of combustible/kerosene mixed with sweet notes, not pleasant at all. If you are interested in purchasing this fragrance, test it first, especially the dry down, in my opinion, there are a ton of much better fragrances for the same prices. Also, the initial projection is good but it fades out quickly, after 2-4 hours is a skin scent. Wow Rating: 6/10 Disgust Rating: 6/10 Uniqueness: 5/10 Projection: 6/10 Longevity: 6/10 Ideal for: Formal. Recommendation: I think there are others out there that shine a lot more. Don’t buy. Better alternatives: If you are looking for formal fragrances, try Bleu de Chanel, Creed Aventus, Prada Luna Rosa Carbon. If you would like to try a boozy scent, Paco Rabanne 1 Million Prive is fantastic.

Totally agree the smaller ones aren’t a good value I usually always go for at least a 100ml and that’s would I would recommend if it’s a first time blind buy no need to risk more than $100-150 on something you e never smelled considering the price difference it’s the best value proposition. compared to a 2 oz usually for around $20-40 more you can get double or nearly double the amount of fragrance. Now if you like the fragrance and you know it’s a “keeper” then absolutely getting the largest volume you can is the best way to go

I agree, buying the largest size bottle is a better buy than buying smaller sized bottles. Especially if you know you like the scent and know you will wear it often. One 50 ml and one 100 ml of any fragrance is gonna cost more than one 200 ml bottle. I didn’t realize this at first but majority of the time, it’s true. Unless you just don’t have the money then it’s understandable.

I guess that if you only are going to use 1 or 2 fragrances, then buying the largest bottle is worth it. In my case, my father and I enjoy perfumes a lot and we have like 7 or 8 right now. Out of those 8 bottles, two of them are 200ml (ADG EDT and Dior Sauvage EDT) and it has taken us forever to finish them, till the point that I am almost wearing them just to finish them. There are so many good fragrances out there that I think 100ml bottles are the best investment in my case. Good video!

Can I make a suggestion for your vids? I've seen ton of them and I generally enjoy them but it seems that the constant problem that you have in your vids is a focusing issue when you hold up the bottles to show them off. I understand wanting to have them in your hand but what might be a nice change to your videos is inserting some nice quality B-roll of the bottles that you insert when you would normally hold them up. That might take a little extra work when filming and editing but I think it would be a nice look for your vids that I don't really see many other people doing. Of course, you can still have the bottle in your hands but you wouldn't be required to hold it up to the camera and wait for the AF to kick in.
