How are you actually arriving at this claim that Har-maggedon means ‘mount of assembly/congregation’?? 05:42-10:53 There is no Hebrew mgd root that has the meaning of “congregation”. The Hebrew root that you are citing, md (mo'ed) is basically an expression of “(appointed) time” (e.g Dan 12:7), even when used to speak of a “meeting” as then it has the meaning of an “appointment”. Your “identical borrowed vowels’ claim is deficient as there is still: (1) no “a” vowel in that Hebrew root ‘moed’ that, as per your claim, would have equated the Greek ‘maged’, nor (2) is there an “o” vowel in the Greek “maged” itself which would have come from the Hebrew root “mo'ed”. You are claiming that the -on ending is purely from the Greek, not the Hebrew. Plus you have had to arbitrarily transpose the o-e vowels from moed to (still inaccurately) try to fill your Greek transliteration claim of maged -on The -on ending is actually a common, and widely used NT Greek suffix which is appended to involve an “object” notion. So it is not, as you are claiming, ‘used to express Hebrew words into Greek. There are many Hebrew words used in the New Testament and they do not require having a -on ending attached to them. It linguistically seems to me that the Spanish -ear suffix is actually the equivalent of the English -ize suffix (e.g. legal - legalize) and is merely internally (i.e. in a language) used to express a noun into a verbal noun and not, as you are claim ‘make corresponding Spanish expressions from English ones’ Indeed the Spanish term “parque” in itself may be transliteratively derived from the English driving term “park”, so it does not even need an -ear ending to make it an English language equivalent. 10:53-15:07ff - As your basis for the source of Revelation’s term Har-maggedon is not exegetically founded, your ensuing claim of meaning and its application is sequiturly also unfounded and incorrect...

In the last days, Armageddon is not a specific place. Armageddon is a place of spiritual warfare; and not a literal. It cover the whole earth, where people God are situated. The wicked will gather around, against the spiritual Israel, the people of God, the Sabbath keepers; they will be surrounded by the wicked in a motive to be destroy. This episode is describe as the Armageddon. Then shall Michael stand up to protect His people.

Har Ma•ge•don’ in Greek, from a Hebrew term meaning “Mountain of Megiddo.” This will be a LITERAL WAR! The prophecy in Revelation speaks of a time in the near future when Satan and the demons will motivate human governments to assemble their armies, thus issuing a defiant challenge to God’s interests. The attack will result in the death of millions of people when God defeats the invaders. (Revelation 19:11-18)

ARMAGEDDON (Ἁρμαγεδών, Harmagedōn, Ἁρμαγεδδσών, Harmageddsōn, Ἁρ Μαγεδών, Har Magedōn). Literally “Mountain of Megiddo.” The place at which all the kings of the Earth gather in Rev 16:16. Introduction The term “Armageddon” appears only once in the New Testament (Rev 16:16), and the exact meaning of the reference is disputed. Interpretations favor the hill town of Megiddo in northern Israel or a scribal corruption of the original text. Alternate renderings include: • mount of slaughter; • mount of assembly; • mount of cutting down; • marauding Mountain; • the cut-down mountain Souter, A. (1917). @@tonyw8018 I appreciate that explanation from that Lexham/Logos resource, but the proper meaning and understanding of “H/Ar-maggedon” can be arrived at through more accurate exegesis and observation of the (historical) layout of that region. First of all, the usage of the term in Rev 16:16, in indeed, like other specific places cited in Revelation, for a Spiritual meaning (e.g. Rev 11:8). But in order to properly understand and apply its Spiritual meaning, the location being referred to has to be understood in its literal/historical context in order to see what Spiritual meaning is to be drawn from it. Succinctly summarized here, (I have done a more elaborate+illustrated exposition on my NJK Project Theological Views blog), H/Ar-maggedon actually has two possible readings and applicable (joint) meaning, one Religious and one Economic, indeed corresponding to the two major and joining aspects of the Final Conflict as delineated in Rev 13 with the First (Religious) Beast (Rev 13:1-10) and the image created by the Second (Economic) Beast (Rev 13:11-18). The First reading is Har-mageddon which means/refers to: the “MOUNTAIN [of the Valley] of Megiddo”..This was the Mount Carmel mountain range and where Elijah had his (Israel-Religious) showdown against apostate Ahab’s+Jezebel’s false Baal religion and prophets. This corresponds to the First Beast religious showdown The Second reading in Ar-maggeddon which means/refers: the “CITY [in the Valley] of Megiddo”. This is the military garrison city that was situated on a Tell in that valley and provided the protection needed to ensure the safe flow of trade goods in that “center of the (then) world” region. That area was effectively the “World Trade Center” of that time connecting, generally speaking, Northern Africa/Egypt in the South with Northern Mediterranean (=European) lands in the (North-West) and also the Far reaching regions in the East, extending to India and China. So it was vital that this pivotal region be secure at this pointed confluence point, where it was easier for thieves to lie in wait and attack/pillage those trade caravans passing through this bustling Palestine region....hence that garrison city, which also served as a strategic lookout for purely military affairs. So that all indeed corresponds to the mainly Economic interests/impetus of the Second Beast of Rev 13:11-18 in enjoining this otherwise merely Religious Final Conflict as they will be (wrongly) deeming that a religious solution is the best way to stabilize the then upended global economy, hence their physically enforced “no buy or sell” decree/measures, thus fully forming and enacting that image to the First (Religious) Beast...
