10 Gallon Quarantine Tank Setup For Pygmy Corydoras

The important thing is to quarantine new fish. How to do so, whether it's setting up a tank as you did here, or keeping a quarantine tank running continually, would depend on how often we get new fish. I've had 4 different tanks serve as quarantine tanks. I also use the Aquarium Co-Op recommended trio of qt meds. Pygmy corys are awesome. A group of 20 would be particularly awesome.

@@HeatherNielsenScarletAquatics Do you put. them in simultaneously or one at a time? in what order? My understanding is one is not supposed to mix medications and antibiotics are a last resort when other medications have failed.

10 gallons of adorable!!! This was PERFECT because it was straightforward and simple. I will be referencing this when I am ready to get one going. I have the 10 gallon sitting here for that purpose. I have a question - do those meds have a shelf life / ecpiration date? I will buy the trio from Cory, but figured I should not get it too far in advance. Thanks for any thoughts you can offer!

Thank you so much for watching! I'm glad that you enjoyed it. They do have an expiration date but the shelf life is pretty long. Getting them from Cory you should be safe to get them with a long shelf date because his product doesn't sit for very long before being sold.
