@@jacklajoie9126 Old comment but I thought I'd reply with some programming perspective. When you're coding something without specifically designing it to be extendable it is often a real pain to add a feature. In the case of a weapon in a video game you normally expect to only be using one at a time so there would have been little reason to design that to be changed. This being Halo where you can only "own" two weapons at a time they probably had two data structures for the weapons you owned plus an additional identifier for which one was being held. Further each weapon was probably "unique," you couldn't own two of the same weapon and encountering another would just cause you to pick up additional ammo for it. Dual wielding also meant that while each weapon could no longer be unique, the ammo for each weapon type WOULD have to have it's unique pool because otherwise you'd be making the weird choice of which of two identical weapons the ammo you just picked up would go to. Also not all weapons could be dual wielded since it'd be kinda silly to dual wield sniper rifles (albeit awesome). All this is really just scratching the surface of things that would need to be changed, and probably forced them to rewrite most of the subroutines involving weapons. It could have been worse. If Halo allowed you to own more than two weapons or Halo 2 allowed you to switch between your dual wielded weapons and a third it might have been even more complicated.

Just thought I'd add a bit to the Peach's Golf Club part: The texture of the gun is indeed present on her model, and not just a leftover from testing, and it's actually used as a Reflective Surface on the metal pipe on the club. So for anyone who wonders why they can't see the texture in-game, it's because you can, but it's too distorted.

It's silly that people were getting upset. Us PCB designers almost ALWAYS leave easter eggs somewhere on the silkscreen layer because almost nobody will ever see it. Usually it's just our initials, or a tiny graphic, or something. But it can be whatever, as long as your boss doesn't see it, or doesn't care. The same thing happens with chip designers. If you look at many microcontrollers/other silicon devices under magnification, you'll often find initials, etc that were snuck in alongside the company logo and such.

@@HellLordBBB yeah, why we should compare games with the same title and supposedly the same theme and character? tch, of course the name on the tin is not a definition of the stuff you get, when I buy a tin of beans I want, hell I EXPECT, it has bananas inside! and nope, the reboot triology is a cluster-duck. a carpet bombing of bad ideas and a WMD of plotholes and bizzarre decisions that contradicts themselves. some of them because they really didn't want to let go the ideas from the FIRST reboot of the series, yeah, Legends, Underworld and Anniversary are NOT based on the original canon and are already part of the problem... let's just focus on the second reboot series: 1) the bleaching of the series started with Tomb Raider "begins", a pathetic rebooting in vein of miscomprehensions of Batman Begins (many games did that when they though it was cool, some of them even going to say that "casino royale" was a reboot in the same vein, while instead it was more similar to the original concept of Bond in the books that nobody read): -"darker and edgier" world for the sake of edgelording the seires (and people thought that Angel of Darkness was edgy!) -complete distruction of Lara as a character by removing her "choice" to become what she is. heck for being a supposedly "femminist" character direction her is pretty much filled with daddy issues and daddy figures, with every action being a reaction or a order of a male character in the story. -complete bastardization of the gameplay structure, not anymore exploration with enemies as obstacles but enemies as filler with set pieces as gameplay focus, exploration becoming mundane and boring. -complete removal of any mimesis value in favour of what's "cliche" of games at the time. -boring design of location and enemies, all game world offers blur itself and enemies design is absent... it's not design, if it would have been a movie it would just be what they found on the costumes wardrobe. 2) then the sequel comes in, and it's amazing they actually managed to not only spit in the face of the series legacy, but also their previous game!: - the edginess is absent, and that's funny as it was the only design trait it had "original" from the original series. -what little character Lara had is gone(that was bipolar bimbo rambo in killer island, not really great). so it's any semblance of plot. a lot of NOTHING happens. -it's the same game from before, now with more random side content, like exploring "tombs"...that are just random broken stuff as a side dish. -now they added shops and stupid side quests! other cliche of the time. -now the game design manages to be even more boring! literally reusing ideas from the game before and adding idiocy. and I think there is also zombies in one of the DLC...count this as a element in the previous point too. 3) I would love to talk about the third game, but as most people I ignored it kinda even got out... I guess it's just more of the same, with an "new and original " knife to have...stealth kills like the game before? I think I've seen that in a trailer or something. from what little I know about the game the enemy is once again completely boring and the plot is once again completely pointless. and I find the portrayal of south american natives rather racist... like they are a not-plot-explained native portrayal like the ones in Resident Evil 5, with the big difference that Resident Evil 5 actually explains that as a mental regression due to being injected by Tri-cell with Uroboros... "good" is not a descriptor of the reboot series. and before you nag about me not playing the aptly named "shadow of the Tomb Raider" (and is actually a shadow of it's former series), I'll have you know that I played Angel of Darkness 3 times, only once with the mods that actually make the game controls more reactive...

That Letter from Natla had me legit freaking out I was like OMG, but now that it's been removed, I'm kinda sad but not entirely. Now that the reboot series has come to an end and we got a very in depth look into Lara's early years, I was very much hoping for some old adventures as well as entirely new ones that they may have in store for us in the upcoming games.q Other than Angel of Darkness (storyline only not gamelay obviously) the Natla storyline is one of the best from the oringal series. I mean it was literally the beggining and the end of the oringal series of games. With all the new mechanics and graphics they really could have given that story so much more life and vision. Sigh. A fanboy can dream.

Shin means True (well it has a fair number of meanings but the exact Shin used here means true); and Tensei means Reincarnation (Or Metempsychosis which is basically the same thing and I only bring up because I swear I saw an interview with the creators once where they used it as their desired translation). Shin Megami Tensei means True Goddess Reincarnation, since a major plot point in the original was the heroine being a reincarnation of the Japanese creator goddess Izanami-no-Mikoto

The civilian AI are bad enough at driving that it can end up exploding, and there's always the chance for DRM soldiers to spawn and end up taking the car in a skirmish with rebels. In my opinion, the “disturbing images” of Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck (found in the game files) are like scarecrows in the game files, trying to unnerve hackers from messing with the game’s code, similar to the Wandering Sin Easter egg in BATIM (Bendy and the Ink Machine), but the WS can only be found in out of bounds because it’s trying to unnerve hackers from entering parts of the map where they shouldn’t be going in and they make this extremely unsettling and creepy ambiance coming from the WS, they get louder and louder, the more you go close to it and they only appear in both the game files and the game itself (some WS got completely wiped out in all 5 chapters of the game but only one can be found in Chapter 5 and the Bonus chapter: The Archives (a museum type thing that showcases all the olden days of BATIM and the things that are still in the game)

Not a big discovery but there’s been a glitch in Persona 5 in the final dungeon where if the player dashes towards a specific edge, they go out of bonds and start floating which makes them explore the whole map freely This hasn’t been removed yet #odddiscoveries

Well, "Fully detailed nude" models aren't necessarily the result of "a developer lonely nights at work", mate. I mean, not that it is impossible but I believe that the 3D artists of FFXV probably just download some stock models from a resource site to use as the basis for the characters in the game and what was found here was the models before they were optimized for the game (maybe even before their outfit was finalized). If I had to guess, perhaps the artist uses the young woman model as a reference to make the elderly woman model as I'm assuming it's far more rare to find a somewhat realistic nude elderly person model on stock model sites. I'm not a professional 3D artist but, as someone who has made 3D models before, I can tell you that it's much better to work with a "complete" model first, and later to remove the unnecessary parts than building exclusively the parts that will be visible in the final model right away.

All I'm saying is to not jump to the conclusion that "nude models" are necessarily for erotica purposes or whatever. They are a common tool for 3D artists for references and model basis, that's all. Also, i feel that if it was meant to be a joke it would have been far more basic, You see, sculpting and texturing a model can take a lot of time... trust me on that. Although not impossible, It seems a tad unlikely that as "a joke" or "out of boredom" they would somehow find the time to sculpt 2 fully detailed nude models and texture them (and perhaps even render them to the environment). It seems a lot more plausible to me that these are simply leftovers of an earlier phase of development.

Even with basic 3D posing and rendering programs, like Daz Studio, model textures almost ALWAYS have the bits and pieces in fair quality. Much easier to grab a base texture and layer from there, especially for NPCs. That’s why I don’t know why everyone freaked out about the Ellen Page, Beyond a Two Souls deal. Maybe if people didn’t hack into things they weren’t intended to, nobody would be offended by what’s found lol. If it wasn’t intended to be shown, we can’t keep whining about it.

As a student of design and development of videogames, I have to confess I have probably done some stuff like the one shown in the videogame. Characters with weird textures that I was unable to notice like the AR from Peach, and also some "special" unused models of naked people that happened to be part of an asset we used for a videogame. In unity (a program for making videogames very easily) when you download an asset you usually download all the models and code included and from that you use a part of it. Well, we had some naked characters that were supposed to be used with some of the clothing that was given to other characters, a way of having more variety of models. I also remember some peers using weir debug logs (a function that prints text on the console, usually hidden when the game is done) and we would have texts popping up like Warning(The fucking variable x.position of assetname_charactername is not a number and has been established to the previous valid value) and log(Penis) repeated like thousands of times every second until the game crashed, as something went into an infinite loop, calculating things all the time with no end.
