I have a Nintendo 3DS but I haven't never played Kid Icarus 3DS game, I want to buy it's physical 3DS game and try it. Super Smash Bros is where I've heared Kid Icarus first time. Sakurai likes Kid Icarus too, I would love to see Kid Icarus for the Nintendo Switch 2! 👼🏻👰🏼‍♀️

Before Mario franchise experimented with several different genres, it started as an arcade platformer. When the franchise introduced Super Mario Bros. for NES it changed its genre to Side Scrolling linear 2D platformer. Super Mario 64 on the other hand bended the genre from 2D to 3D. So not only the franchise bended genre but it also changed genre

According to other sources on KZbin, Grand Theft Auto and Metal Gear also started out as top-down adventure games before being overhauled. Kinda surprised those weren’t included.

They were similar genres then returned to those perspectives like in ghost babel and Chinatown wars, but were all stealth tactical game or open world action game. God of war Norse saga is an action adventure but the Greek was a hack and slash game. Though your selection did have the best 3d conversions.

it’s such a shame that Revolver gets absolutely disregarded when people talk about the series, whenever I ask someone what is he first red dead game they immediately think of Redemption 1, which in fairness I can’t blame them since Redemption 1 was such a huge hit

Nice list! I only have contention with one entry and it's a personal preference thing so it's all good. I would love to see a return to RTS for WarCraft. WoW just wasn't my cup of tea. But I cannot deny that WoW was the best business move for Blizzard.

Red Dead Series and Fallout Series and Wolfenstein Series had the most successful genre change on the PS4 or on the PS3

I remember people complaining after seeing first screenshots and trailers from Fallout 3. Talking about ruining fallout and stuff. They were wrong.

Wolfenstein 3D is what got me into FPS, i never even thought a game like that was possible at the time

This is going to be a controversial opinion and it's coming from someone where the franchise is my favourite franchise of all time but Yakuza/Like A Dragon going turn based RPG was incredible but i do wish the improvements from Infinite Wealth were there in 7 (team attacks, teammate attacks, Bond Bingo, the ability to move in a radius)

Nintendo should get on the band wagon of Diablo, balduers gate and dragon age. The trend is still there unlike dynasty warriors type games when Hyrule warriors was released.

I understand most of these but hard disagree that Fallout and Warcraft changed genre for the better, more like they changed for the different. I would even argue Warcraft changed for the worse although it's hard to argue against its popularity.

I don’t understand the hate for 4. 4 is my favorite one, 3 was lots of fun as well, haven’t played much of new vegas(and yes, I know it’s regarded as the best and prime fallout game so I hope to get back to it eventually) 76 got good in time but nowhere near as good as the others IMHO.

@@SonicTheDarkHedgehog that's a valid opinion. I've nothing against the people who really liked 4. It just wasn't my thing. I wish I could have enjoyed it more. I just really didn't like the dialogue system and the RPG elements felt super dumbed down compared to 3 and New Vegas. It also just felt like none of the decisions I made made a difference in the world. It also felt much lighter in tone/not as gritty and dark. Fallout 1, 2, 3 and New Vegas have a special place in my heart. I love the universe but I just fear there will never be another one that carries that same old specific feel I fell in love with, sadly.

Bethesda Fallouts are trash compared to the older ones in terms of writing, thematic consistency, lore accuracy and worldbuilding. Obsidian did a better job converting those classic experiences into Bethesda style

Yeah not a great start with the thumbnail trying to imply fallout 3 is better than 2. When that's just not the case. Also WoW just isn't as good as WC3. WoW may have been more popular, doesn't mean it's better.

Uncharted Series. The gameplay, story, and characters got a lot better after the first game, Drake's Fortune, back in 2007.

You Could say that, but it was much more accessible than the playstyle of F2. I tried playing Arcanum (identical mechanics) and was killed in a confrontation within Minutes. Fallout 3 was much easier for me.
