Most of these games aren't like AC in the slightest, other than being open world. AC games are all about open world with lots of parkour, assassinations, and combat. I don't remember a game such as Mafia having parkour. C'mon dude.

Ubisoft used to be a good company back then. they're unfortunately not these days and they've been like this for a long time which is very unfortunate.

Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West took so much of “Ubisoft Formula” from Assassin’s Creed, Middle-earth Shadow of Mordor and War also fit nicely in this list aswell, Batman Arkham Games and Prince of Persia also

Ghost of Tsushima set a precedent for a game releasing as a perfect masterpiece of a passion project and then being made even better than perfect with a Directors Cut. Whereas there has been tons of complaints about AC Shadows made public before its release, which was pushed back to TBD 2025 after Yotei was announced suggesting Ubi hopes it will fly under the radar. So Imma have to disagree that brand name alone will be the determining factor for which game sales better.

I think GoT has made it's mark and many would put it above most ACs. If GoT had awesome parkour like the classic ACs it would be my favourite game ever but as it is it's about even with AC1. If Ubi had fleshed out instead of gutted AC1 combat the result would have been similar to GoT

Imma be that guy who not only geeks out over an amazing game but also points out a bunch of flaws with the competition, so bare with me as the point will not only be self-evident by the end but one can potentially save a ton of money in the process if one keeps the point in mind: Ever since the first AC game, fans have been trying to get one set in Feudal Japan. 2020 comes along and Ubi hadn't made one and their franchise had already reached an all-time low with AC Odyssey. So Sucker Punch comes along with a masterpiece that took 6 years of development time between their previous games (Infamous Second Son & First Light); & the initial release of their masterpiece/ my current favorite game in existence: Ghost of Tsushima and it wasn't only the best AC type game but arguably the best game in existence (even still in 2024). It also released as a perfect game but SP wasn't satisfied with letting it lie there, so they made it even better than perfect with the Director's Cut. Currently, AC Shadows has been post-poned to TBD 2025, which only occurred after my most anticipated sequel, Ghost of Yotei was announced. And this was only the most recent issue publicized bout it. Others include issues with their creating a fictional character but having the historical one be a foreigner. As well as historical accuracy issues that landed them in a state of having flaws be made public by Japanese historians. The very type of people who were so impressed with Tsushima that its devs became honorary ambassadors due to it. And after seeing gameplay footage, while I can't say for sure how definitive ones time as one character or another is, I can easily say that in spite of it being for their singleplayer mode, the quantity of abilities feels more akin to a single class in Tsushima Legends, which was designed for co-op. So the question arises, why spend somewhere between $70- $100+ (the later of which is for the version of AC Shadows that is known to have photo mode); just on the base version of a lesser game made by devs so confident in their work that they post-poned it in order for it to fly under the radar when the alternative is buying the sequel to a game that is enough of a masterpiece for an argument to be made that it's the best game in existence so far & gave a precedent for being able to expect a masterpiece to release in perfect condition given how much passion was put into its development? Why not only buy Ghost of Yotei between the two of these upcoming 2025 games? I, for one, waa ridiculously impressed by Sucker Punch to the degree I plan on pre-ordering Ghost of Yotei day 1 of pre-order sales going live. And Im sure Im not gonna regret that decision. So I leave it up to you. The ball is in your court pertaining to which to get or both. But it's my hope that we avoid another round of a lesser game getting the sympathy giveaway that occurred pertaining to GotY for 2020 being announced and if can, sales records being enough to make a statement bout what we deem worth the price of $70 min per game so that Ubi may see it's high time to give the reigns over to Sucker Punch.

If you love Assassin's Creed just play Assassin's Creed I LOVE Assassin's Creed games my first AC game was AC 3 Black Flag on PS3, but haven't played other AC games yet these are AC games that I NEED to play: Origins, Odysseys, Valhalla, Valhalla Ragnarök and Mirage every of them on PS5 or if some of they are on other consoles on Switch and Mirage is now on PC too. Can't wait i'm so EXCITED for AC Shadows only because it's about the Feudol Japan with samurais, but because Shadows is delayed coming to PS5 in next year I'll play AC The Ezio Collection that I got for Switch only as 20€ a PERFECT deal from 3 AC games like WOW! Is it possible to see Valhalla and Mirage coming to Switch too because they're on PS4? About of this video's games what to play if you LOVE Assassin's Creed I would LOVE to play and there's these games in my list: Mafia 3 because I only have it and don't have Mafia 2, Hitman 3&4, Watch Dogs 2 and Legions, The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt, Ghost of Tsushima before Ghost of Yōtei, Unchardet Collection, God of War 2018 & Ragnarök defienitily Ragnarök, Metal Gear Solid Master Collection, 5 and can't wait i'm so EXCITED for Metal Gear 3 Delta Remake that I believe will be delayed and is coming in the year of Snake 2025 that video was good thank you Mojoplays play like a Ssnake! 🎮🐍

I really wonder how Kassandra is canon, I mean how she left Neema pregnant in the 1st Blade DLC? There are a lot of clues that suggest that Alexios should be canon in Odyssey not Kassandra.

I am 90% sure that the whole Kassandra being a character that was always meant to be the main character but big bad company wanted male narative was bs to promote the game to the woke crowd.(And considering how far they went with shadows to appeal to that crowd it makes me believe that even more)The game's writing gives off feeling multiple times that Alexios was always supposed to be in the main because at some parts you playing as Kassandra creates plot holes which ain't there with Alexios. Women are not allowed to participate in the arena but Kassandra for no reason is.

@gandalainsley6467 For historical accuracy Alexios is canon. It's just the gaming industry to have the choice of male or female main characters so for every player to be satisfied with his choice. In other words it's INDUSTRY. In other words PROMOTION TACTIC. In other words PROFIT. Edit: For example i love playing as Lara Croft in Tomb Raider games because she's such an iconic female lead and character. No male can replace her in her games. So it's for me with Assassins Creed i love playing as Altair or Ezio Auditore as they are game icons such as Lara. Irreplaceable in their respective games. So is Kratos in God of War, Nathan Drake in Uncharted series or Leon and Jill in Resident Evil. They are great characters with great writing no matter male or female. But the late years too many games come out with the choice of playing with the male or the female version of the same character. That's the lack of making an individual who is iconic gaming character because of promotion and profit.

A lot of companies had activists hired for whatever reason. Maybe as untapped group that made it seem that they are much bigger than they actually are. They got a backlash from the woke crowd because of it and then patch came out that "fixed it". That whole thing you brought up wasn't in the game originally.
