Will we ever get to see Mr. Cliff for even a few seconds to wave hi? He has become my favorite Florida neighbor (even though he's your neighbor).😊

Only living in Florida for a little over a year now I’m new to gardening, now trying to have a little native in my garden😊 need some 🦋 I’ve been watching your videos for a couple months now. I now know about the best weeds that are growing. In Florida. I went foraging for the Biden’s alba and planted it. Not big on the name 😁 I’ll tell you growing up those dandelions were a pest. God gave us that one for free and finding out so many health benefits they have from root to flower 😁 but, they grow in Miami somewhere I was reading.

in a previous Vlogmas, you mentioned that David The Good was an inspiration for you. Well, he is for me to, but only because you mentioned him! And... YOU have inspired me to plant my own butterfly garden which include many flowers you talked about in previous episodes... so I'm thinking you may have come full circle! Keep up the good work and I look forward to see what 2023 brings! Many blessings and enjoy the holidays with your family!

I love the glamour shots you start with in many of your videos. Sometimes I wish they had labels so I can get them. I had to get the Spotted/Dotted Horsemint after seeing it shine in your videos. I have started rounding out my Zinnias, Cosmos, and Marigolds with a great selection of Native Plants thanks to you. I had a great trip to Green Isle Gardens nursery in Groveland to shop for my natives. We were deciding where to plant everything and noticed that there was a humming bird on one of the Salvias we had just brought home! And those Salvias have multiplied!!

Thanks for answering my water/moisture question for Climbing Aster...my son is big on native plants and when he asked me what I wanted for Christmas this was my answer (OR Beauty Bush). Happy Vlogmas 🎄🎄🎄

I’m having an ongoing petty battle with wildlife. Squirrels dig things up, rats, rabbits and moles get to enjoy most of my veggie garden before I get a chance to. Any suggestions to help outsmart them would be great! I’ve looked into nematodes for the moles but haven’t tried yet. Leaning toward making a hardware cloth cage to cover everything … so frustrating 😩

So, himself and I was watching the video, and I'm doing the..."Oh isn't that a pretty one. I really want to put that in, maybe on the garage side of the house?" and so on. He's doing his normal, "Mmmm ok. Sure. Alright. If that's what you want." And right in the middle of the "wonderful firebush" part, he pipes in with: "I'll tell what's pretty is, its that clean rooftop and gutter. Look what a good job they did!" 😐 I love that old man. 🤣

Loving your detailed and very knowledgeable information to deal with the intimidation that we so often feel when gardening, down here in Central Florida! My Main question is this: How do you cure your sweet potatoes? From what I’ve been reading, it requires very specific heat and humidity levels, so if we get a huge crop, how can we effectively deal with all of them? Thank you, so much, Jacqueline. You have become a dear friend for so many of us! 😊

Jacqueline,. Have you ever had a disease on your cosmos flower plant. It is a small white spot on the leaves. I googled it but there were several possibilities. So to be safe I just pulled it out and got rid of it so it doesn't effect any other plants. Thanks for your help 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋

Love this! Thank you. Climbing aster and beach mist flower on my list! My marsh rattlesnake must need more sun. It did great the first year and this year seems to be slowly dying. I thought it could handle part shade. Thinking not!

Hey Jacqueline, I collected some of my Aquatic milkweed's seeds, and oops, forgot to plant them. I'm on the Treasure Coast, pretty much right across from you Zone 10a. 2 questions: 1. When should I plant the seeds and 2. I keep reading milkweed seeds need to be cold stratified but can't find anything if Aquatic milkweed needs that. Hard to imagine it would but thought I should ask.

Hi! I love your videos! Im a big fan of you ! I am having problems getting my cabbage and broccoli 🥦 to grow past seedling stage! Something is chewing the baby leaves off! I'm on my third round of planting and I'm running out of seeds! Has this ever happened to you?

I found swamp milkweed needs tons of water as it grows in a wetland. To keep it alive I had to water it constantly or put it in water. I had bad luck.

Hi! I'm a newer Floridian (from MN) in Cape Coral and creating my "French/English in the tropics" inspired garden.... formal pathways (French) with the chaos of natives + vegetable + cut flowers mixed throughout. That is my front yard.. My backyard is a total blank slate. We had to replace a sea wall (Literally finished the week before Ian!) and per city code had to put sod in to pass inspection, dumb. Anyway, There is a slope to the canal and we get iguanas, ugh, along the wall. Any thoughts on plants for the back slope that don't encourage or feed those jerks? It is East facing and does get mostly sun throughout the day. I also plan to create a fruit tree forest in the back using the concepts of David and the book Grow a little Fruit tree. Thanks!!

If I plant more natives, will it stop the caterpillars from eating my veggies because they’ll eat those instead? Or will it just attract more veggie-eating caterpillars to my yard? Also-is there a trick to keep cut worms from chopping my plants off for no good reason? 😆

if you want dune flower or sunshine mimosa to take over your yard, do you have to remove the grass/weeds first or just plant it and let it do its thing? our yard is mostly weeds and I'd love to have sunshine mimosa instead. I saw a neighbor that did this successfully

Is the climbing aster a host plant? I'm looking for something I can put in a section of garden that gets pretty wet and gets a lot of shade in late fall and winter, but full sun in spring and summer.
