Let me know what songs you think I missed. I know I left a lot of great ones off the list, but there's only so much room in a top 10 list. If you'd like to listen to all these songs (and a few other of my favorites that I left off) here's a Spotify Playlist I made of them open.spotify.com/playlist/6O70fGqCLxKxc6ttxdlScB?si=11b5193865184b45 I want to make it clear that I was picking songs only by local Filipino artists. Artists like Bruno Mars, Enrique Iglesias, Nicole Scherzinger, Apl.De.Ap etc. were known first internationally and have spent most of their lives living internationally. I wanted to focus specifically on local artists that have written classic songs that exist within Filipino culture, but that I think also would appeal to an international audience in English 😄 Also, if you live in the US and want to say hi then send me a text. This is my Nashville number and I'll personally text you back (615) 436-5749

Music title: Da coconut-nut song Country Originated: Philippines Composer: ryan cayabyab Nationality: filipino Remarks: editor Rito Asilo characterized the song as a "wackily irreverent novelty hit". In July 2017, footage of a performance of the song by the 75-member Baylor University School of Music Men's Choir from the United States in an Emirates Airlines plane cabin before passengers and flight crew was posted online and became popular.

I honestly feel like their songs He Loves Me and Come Find My Heart would’ve done well internationally at the time of their release. They give me Ace of Base vibes. As for contemporary English songs, I think Ben&Ben (Leaves, Home) and IVOS (Come Inside My Heart, Take that Man) English songs deserve international attention. Also, Sb19’s Love Goes (brings back the 2000s boy band feel)

Like this topic & the list! And i agree, Forevermore deserves that spot. But there are still some iconic english pinoy songs you forgot. Raymond Lauchengco's Farewell, Odette Quesada's Friend Of Mine, Sharon Cuneta's To Love Again to name some. Songs from different genres from Wolfgang's Darkness Fell to Neocolours' Say You'll Never Go. Well mostly will definitely be from the standards & ballads. I recommend you listen to these songs if you arent familiar with it - South Border's Wherever You Are & All I Want Is You Today & Dingdong Avanzado's Wish I Could. They arent that big in the Philippines, but they are truly good and underrated & deserves more credit in my opinion. Keep up the good work sir & tnx for appreciating OPM. Kudos to you! Oh and btw, i think Janet Jackson's Let's Wait A While seems like Freestyle's So Slow in terms of song meaning & what it tries to convey. I could be wrong though.. :)

You forgot about Rockstar's "Parting Time" Sounds like from White Lion or Firehouse but I'm shocked that it was an OPM
