In a time when camera movement is motivated by style rather than story, his films remain lessons in storytelling. Thank you for keeping the original aspect ratio and not "modernizing" it. Love from Poland!

Tokyo Twilight is my favorite above Tokyo Story. But the earliest movies of Ozu are the most interesting, when he made from student melodramas to noir movies

Innovation and uniqueness in direction have always been an important characteristic in Ozu's films, which truly represent his style of film-making and have always kept him apart from other film makers. He redefined cinema by being notional in his post-war films.

Ozu really treated each shot and composition like an artwork, and that is why he did not rely much on transitions and movements. A great master of composition and storytelling indeed!

Nicely done. Ozu needs to be studied by younger, aspiring filmmakers today - for his subtle, minimal (yet so effective) style. Lovely voiceover.

My favorites are Tokyo Twilight, Late Spring, Early Summer besides of course Tokyo Story 4. Late Spring 3. Early Summer 2. Tokyo Twilight 1. Tokyo Story
