Maybe the best sounds I've heard coming out of a guitar. Will practice, thanks.

Hi Rotem caught your trio at Pizza Express Soho. Great gig. Thank you for coming through. We chatted briefly. Great musicians you have supporting you - awesome percussion and double bass. Loved your compositions to your 'in-laws'. Best wishes.

Great video as always! btw. could you please tell us about your guitar, it looks like it has so much character and history! If you can tell us the origin story and about your other guitars, I would love to hear. What was your first guitar and how did it evolve as you learn more and more?

Favorite songs with incredible guitar parts: "Glory" by Umphree's McGee, both because of the guitar and the drums. "Hi Ren" by Ren for some beautiful guitar in one of the most unique songs lyrically, and hands down best performances I've ever seen "Ocean" by John Butler for my literal favorite guitar song of all time, and also the one I will forever be attempting to play. If you haven't heard these, go listen and have your mind blown! Or drop a reply if you have and let me know your thoughts about them!

for those in the know: the wrap on the strings around the head …is there something there that I’m not privy to?
@damienkphoto8 ай бұрын
I think it’s something to do with little artifacts you hear when you fret the guitar? I think it’s supposed to help eliminate some sort of buzz or inverted harmonic when you press down but tbh not rly sure lol
@omtakes8 ай бұрын
@@damienkphoto or right. of course. i was thinking i would tighten it down. but yes. just to dampen the smaller vibrations/buzz that may transfer. cheers for the perspective 🖖🏽

@@omtakes hey man thanks :) i haven’t used that sort of stuff but im kind of curious about the idea of using fretwraps or something like that. have you used them before?
@omtakes8 ай бұрын
@@damienkphoto nay nay. I’ve seen it before, but i just always thought it mostly fashion. my current acoustic is too old to even attempt dampening vibrations, made worse by heavy strings attached to it. but what you brought up made sense. just not tighten it too much. although, again, i’ve seen other musicians online that have the wrap unto the first couple of frets, the. a capo …but i’m guessing it’s the same concept.
