thank you for mentioning the importance of dental health for dogs. After my 15 yr old pom died from CKD & Pancreatitis,, i read up on possible causes and found that infected teeth can emit harmful kidney destroying bacteria. my sweet pom had constant dental problems over the last 5 years of his life,,which no doubt contributed to his CKD,, my biggest mistake was not taking proper care of his teeth, my ignorance cost my puppy a year or 2 of life and his last month of life was horrible...

If you are into lawn care and renovations, and you use granular pesticides to deal with bugs that can harm the lawn (and also to get rid of ticks that cling to your doggie), you really should be watering the product in after application and refraining from letting the dog run on it until it's dry. Same goes for any herbicide treatments- plan the application and when to take the dog out accordingly, and don't let the dog onto the lawn until the product is dry. I typically let the dog out before the application in the evening and then refrain from letting her out until the next day.

We found deer antlers in the woods i ignorantly let my dog have it . And I wish I would have known it would break her tooth cause it did . Thankfully the Veterinarian said , it’s not bothersome. Not a terrible break . But still NO DEER ANTLERS ALLOWED !!!!

Antlers are fine. Just boil them for a little bit first, I like to boil them in chicken stock. It makes them slightly softer and less likely to crack, splinter or break teeth. Also make sure they're not too big because that will cause them to bite harder. Real bones are also fine, just make sure they're raw, not cooked, for the same reasons you boil the antlers.

My boy is constantly out with me i like to keep him fit and healthy .i have always used steel feeding bowls .i use something from the natural pet place where i live for mu boys teeth you just sprinkle it on food .my boy is so stubborn i cant brush his teeth .also dogs mental health is so important they get stressed like we do .they feel love and they also feel pain we need to keep them mentality healthy to i just play in the house with his favourite toy or we play tug of war .this is aswell as his walks .a tierd dog is a happy dog .i dont see the point of people walking their dogs round the block .why get a dog if you dont walk it .these people who take their dog a walk round the block .then go on to go to the gym and have a workout why not bother with the gym and take your dog on a good walk .also i think talking to them makes them enjoy their walk better and letting them have a good sniff about .let them jump in puddles roll in mud it easily cleans .let them have fun 😘

The water thing is silly! I’ve never had a dog refuse water, in fact they ask for it

not my 3 yr old pom, he has little interest in water. the video is correct as he only drinks from his bowl that is in the other room when he takes a rare drink ,, the one near his food dish ive seen him drink from it twice in 4 months... you seem highly critical of this video,, maybe you should make your own video since you know so much.

I wish someone would figure out if garlic is toxic to dogs. Damn near every day I see conflicting information about giving them garlic. 🤔

Very TOXIC

I'm studying as k9 behaviourist and we had first aid also. At least what I've learned that garlic and onions are toxic. And what is totally a myth is that it helps against fleas and ticks, it doesnt.

Wrong about bones too--raw bones are very safe and clean their teeth. Be advised most of what you see on KZbin is just the posters opinion

My vet said she often has to surgically remove bones from the intestinal tracts of dogs.
