One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone says that somebody else got 'lucky' or is 'blessed.' These terms take all of the ownership away from the person
One of my favorite sayings is, "The harder I work, the luckier I get." The truth is that luck is something in fairy tales. It's not luck.
Money will not make you happy. I've been broke, and I have been not broke. I can tell you from this experience that being broke is a lot better, but it will not make you happy. One of the biggest mistakes we see online is people obsessing about material things. Stuff doesn't make you happy. Success is not about stuff. Success is about relationships.
You can't run from your past. Eventually, it will catch up with you. I dealt with this from a young age and struggled with feeling good about myself. I felt insecure as a kid, which impacted my ability to stand up for myself. I decided I deserved to be happy and went into therapy, which made my life better. You can't speed up the healing process, but you can certainly slow it down by avoiding it, self-medicating, sleeping around, and numbing the pain. Go to Better Help for 10% off your first month of therapy and get matched with a therapist who will listen and help you.
Your health is your number one asset. I talk about this all the time because I'm passionate about people taking care of themselves. If you neglect yourself by smoking, doing drugs, drinking and excess, not exercising, and eating like crap, you'll pay for it at some point. You need to make sure you're drinking your water, living a clean lifestyle, and taking care of yourself. A lot of times, younger people have a hard time thinking long-term, and, unfortunately, this will catch up to them and potentially be too late.
You need to make you happy. Do not live for somebody else. You need to decide what really makes you happy and love the life you lead. Make sure you leave a legacy, and there is always time to change. Take action ASAP because you're not guaranteed tomorrow.
You need to test yourself and your limits. If you try to stay safe, you'll stay stuck. You live an average and boring life that is basic. It won't be inspiring. So you need to take the jump and do something scary.
Authenticity is better than popularity. Be authentic and allow people to see who you are. Your life will be better because you will feel better about yourself. It can be scary to be authentic and genuine about who you are, but if you're not accepted for who you are, you don't need to be around those people.
Social media revolves around appearance, and there are a lot of very ugly 'beautiful people' out there. They are physically attractive but hollow inside. They are ugly. Good people are better than pretty people. Find a person you're physically attracted to, but at the core, they're good people. They need to have integrity and honor. They need to treat you with respect and uplift you. They must care for and love you even when things aren't good.
When things aren't going well, remember that this, too, shall pass. Even though you may be going through a hard time right now, keep moving forward because whatever's happening will pass.
The world does not revolve around you or me. Many times, we do or don't do things because we think everybody is thinking something about us. We believe that people are judging us.

The sad reality is that alpha m is lucky, it’s an extremely small percentage of businesses that turn into multi million dollar businesses or to even be successful. Alpha m started his channel at the right time being one of if not the first men’s style KZbinrs, plus with his high energy, he had a bigger chance. Telling people to work hard is just being humble but it’s not reality.

One thing I learned recently, which I miss here is the following, let me name it the Nr. 11: Don't take life too serious. We all try to survive, we all try to get enough money but we forget about the small things in life which really matter, i.e. dancing with your wife or your kid in the rain in front of your house or just drinking a beer with a friend and just talking shit. Try to have fun, because at the end, that it's what it is all about, if you had a great life for yourself

Learning to live alone matters. But also, learning that everything that matters will pass is important. This way you can absolutely enjoy good relationships, but you don't depend on them to be happy, so you only enter the ones that add to your life. Exiting life destroyed is the goal. Go to the coffin dirty, tired, muddy and saying "what a ride!" Peace alone is not the secret for a good life.

the flip side is: having a nice watch, driving a nice car, having disposable income, etc is not an issue because you have them. living in Vancouver, Canada where rent for a 1 bedroom jail cell apartment cost an average of $2000 per month changes the conditions for victory somewhat. I'm not disparaging on the message... just highlighting that conditions for personal success are somewhat vague when using personal acquisitions (or a lack thereof) as a metric. "memento mori".

Lucky & Unlucky people exist all the time, and it's one cold-hard reality approved by math. Believe in inequality of luck help you to be a humble SOB in your success & not being a suicidal-bitter in your failures. Life is a chaotic mess of uncertainty. As soon as you're able to see that.. easier for you to get along with everything happen in your life. All of those "motivational mumbo-jumbos" about how luck is out there waiting for everyone with "preparation/whatever-etc-etc" is just how "lucky people" being polite about their wealth/success (OR, ironically, cheap trick of a broke conmen would say to litmus-test their easy-to-manipulate marks).

I've never heard the saying, " the harder i work the luckier i get" . You know what, the happy thing is dependant on who and what you are. Money cant buy you happiness. Seriously? No, money cant buy you love. If there is even a thought of excusing out money or being broke in modern day, your kidding. I had it as well with being broke ( and you need to define BROKE) and having money. If you are responsible, based, organized then how can you NOT be happy? Money free's up your mind to think because you don't have debt, you don't have issues. You and give , help and create and contribute not only to yourself but to others, its the irresponsible people that lose it and have no idea how to manage money. Being broke, what i saw with people i tried to help or guide was no responsibility. What do they have honestly? Someone on the street? If you never had money , they you don't have much . Its like how do you know what happy is if you've never been sad? I know how it feels not to have a $1 in my pocket , even just $1 dollars and its not a good feeling and tell me how that makes someone feel? Happy? Sorry, its BALANCE and RESPONSIBILITY. You can create luck as a by product of your skill, hustle , work ethic but to shut it down and say being not broke is better but it wont make you happy??????? Unless someone is part of the millennial and gen z generation and everything is menta. You then used " what we see online" and " expectations". There are three things younger generations lack, " common sense (LOGIC)" , knowing right from wrong and lack of " DUE DILIGENCE". When i saw someone have things i wanted and or going places i wanted to go in life, i surrounded myself with like minded people. Its a choice and also building responsible habits as i said above about being responsible. The whole MATERIAL explanation is true but actually lets check your house, car, jewelry you might not be wearing. Are you a Warren Buffet with your money or are you a Roman Abramovich lifestyle? Material things make you feel good and you enjoy them , its keeping it balanced and in check otherwise, WHY ARE YOU WORKING? WHY DO YOU HAVE 6M SUBS and doing KZbin if you arent working to make a lot of money ? What will you do with that money? Live in a shack and ride a bike? Maybe you're amazing and brilliant like Elon who is furthering humanity, lives on site in "small house" for $50k and took all his money (except $900k to get a McLaren F1) from selling PayPal and put it in his next company. He even said he had some LUCK along the way but as i said, his brilliance , work ethic and drive "created opportunities" and opened up different avenues, which could be lucky but create by what i just stated. Sorry grammar and paragraphs are off, i dont have much time but to just type it out but to be full stop on " it doesnt buy you happiness" is horseshiot. Its what you do with it , how you do it, maturity , balance because there are some people, many people that got LUCKY but never had money and crapped it down the toilet because they didnt know how to handle it and now they HATE money when they need to look in the mirror.

You had 5 polyps? Oh, my friend, you're still junior varsity. My first time I had 3. The next time, I had 16. Six months after that, I had 7. If they can find 5 more this next time, I get a free set of steak knives. 🔪 😂 But you're right. You have to take care of the "unpopular" things. Preach it. 👍

I'm 40 and these are all really starting to sink in. The more goals I achieve the less 'hollow', dishonest and shady people I talk to. It's been painful, scary and challenging, but I'm finally someone I respect, someone I'm proud of.

I used to watch you when I was younger. I had hopes and goals, but as time went by I just almost gave up and now am living by inertia. There's nothing good future can bring, and the worst part is that I just dont wanna do anything to make it better. I just don't. I wish someday I fall asleep and never wake up. That's the way I'd like to go. I'm going to be 29 this month. So, yeah. These advices are cool but only work for those who intend to change something in their life. I am not one of those, unfortunately. Maybe I was, but not anymore.

When it comes to money it's not all about the relationships. Money is a means to an end. Some people want to spend a lot to go out, nice car, huge house, etc............... but not of that will make a person happy. There's another form of spending, and it's spending to DO things. While doing anything in particular isn't going to make you happy, if you enjoy doing that thing it's going to at least bring enjoyment into your life, and this is the kind of spending I focus on, to have things that allow me to do whatever it is I want to do. Doing things is the same as accomplishing things which means fulfillment.

Just went to a seminar with Mark Cuban three things he mentioned money doesn’t make a person better, If they aren’t good without it then they won’t be good with it, you will make bad investments that’s just part of the game and last that luck does exist, that yes hard work does create amazing opportunities but it does not create billionaires alone and that if he had to do it all again he does not believe he would be where he is today. And you know what? That’s okay
