I use to be hypermasculine and would trash on k-pop stars like BTS and others in real life for being too feminine, not doing sports or etc. It took growing as a man to realize, I was being toxic. Just all around negative and a bully. Now I realize a man doesnt have to be a stereotype. If you want to be a man that wears male makeup and loves fashion, I supoort you brother. Men should support men. I'm pretty sure that's the message that is being told. And that's a good thing. Just make sure to avoid twitter and loud minority views, because there's always extremes online. But you better drink a beer with me or you're not man enough 😤 Kidding, stay positive brothers 💪🏼

@@DTownNash of course, but you are mixing two things. A 2min google search would tell you that social sciences define toxic masculinity as: "Adherence to traditional male gender roles that consequently stigmatize and limit the emotions boys and men may comfortably express while elevating other emotions such as anger.". Furthermore it says:" This concept of toxic masculinity does not condemn men or male attributes, but rather emphasizes the harmful effects of conformity to certain traditional masculine ideal behaviors". So what the comcept of toxic masculinity actualy want to achieve is not condeming males, but is much rather actually pro male. The coremessage is that you are actualy allowed to be who you are and can become who you want to be not having to obey by sociatal standards (which is also in line with Aarons Message in this video)

Fundamental misunderstanding of what people on the left are saying when we speak out against toxic masculinity. Not all masculinity is toxic masculinity, but exactly those toxic elements like forcing men to hold in their feelings, encouraging them to see violence as legitimate way to solve petty disputes and whatnow is what's problematic. I know it's easy to view this as if somebody is after you for being a dude, but that's just not the case. Working on yourself, building confidence to approach people, being succesful in business, none of that is toxic and that's exactly what you preach and it's good and healthy. What people like the Tates promote is not that, it's an antagonistic worldview, it's an objectifying, materialistic wordlview and it's a depressing worldview. It's nothing but a power fantasy for reactionaries or those that are gullible enough to fall into that trap. That's my piece.

It really is noise but I do have a point of contention regarding "woke". The problem isn't woke but the select far left and far right fringe elements. Generally, we can agree that men don't have a right to beat women, mistreat them, etc. The fringe left says ALL men are trash, false. Fringe right says ALL women are trash, false. Domestic violence is an issue, sexual violence is an issue, and we can all agree that, the men doing these things are not real men. Women have a right to their body, they have a right to work, they have a right to do their own thing and not be subservient to the opposite sex or what we deem "a woman's job" is IF THEY WISH TO NOT DO IT. To say we "don't need men" is silly because we, definitely, by nature, need each half to continue the human race. We just need to respect each other, remember we are human, and sharpen our own moral compass to guide us in just and reasonable path. I cook, clean, and care for my kids AND so does my wife. It's not her duty or mine, it's OUR duty. In short, we are a team and we run the house as such. Obviously something out of reach or heavy, call me in. Tired and hungry, she's got my six. Do you need to be told what to do or can you see a need and provide? Maybe the leaves need to be raked and she'll decide she'll do it because I'm tired. Baby is fussy and she's got a big meeting, it's time to step up. Of course, I hold the door open for her and treat her like a princess because I like that and she does too.... because we choose too. Easy.

As a teenager back in the early 2000's, I remember the conversations I held with my male friends regarding dating. And through the lens of low self esteem, we constantly concluded that we weren't attractive enough, popular enough or rich enough to get female attention. We used to put the blame on us, and most of us didn't have the chance to get some male guidance for a more proper interaction with the opposite sex. We never blamed women for what we thought were our fall outs. Obviously we needed help back then, because we were blinded by negative perceptions, limiting ideas, and fear which conveniently allows us to dive down the puddle of self pitty and self loathing. At least in my case in my early 20's I never really worked on myself in regards my social and dating skills, although I was in therapy. Nevertheless, I thought I was doomed to be left behind and probably that was my set on stone reality. So, I am very surprise how things have changed in this last decade with young men. It's really hard for me to understand this radicalization and poralization that drives everyone in this guerrilla war. From the young men feeling like women are to blame, but at the same time that they "deserve" female attention just because to men telling other dudes that you have to seclude yourself in order to be valued, attractive, rich, and influential not only for dating but to over power women submitting them under their authority. And on the other hand, which is as bad as its counterpart, the extremist totalitarian vindictive rethoric that man (and even boys) are useless, worth cancelled, primitive, evil, ill, creeps, criminals, and a menace to society. And then the legal consequences are a given pratically all around the world. It has become a huge challenge how everyday men and women can interact with one another without the fear of being attacked or harmed before, during or after interacting with someone. You can learn from every message out there, yet you have to discern what is most close to your values, set your own criteria, make your own conclusions, take the risk (while being cautious and responsible towards your decisions and actions), and hope for the best

I appreciate the balance you're trying to strike here, trying to appeal to a common sense middle ground between the extremes. That said, I am not a fan of throwing the "woke-ass liberal cancel culture extremists" all in the same garbage pail. I think what you mean is the faction that wants to authoritatively control from the top what is and what is not allowed to be said in public - and if that's specifically what you mean, I agree. But to me, "woke" simply means empathetic to the experience of marginalized people, of which I am one. And in my 50+ years of experience, I have seen more stupidity and abuse come from the right than from the left. Of course, your results may vary - everybody has a different experience. Again, I really appreciate the heart of what you're getting at here, and deeply appreciate what you do for men like myself who have some work to do in getting their shit together. I just felt I wanted to chime in on my gut reaction to your shitcanning of people for whom empathetic consideration of historically marginalized people is a core value.

You can't act like you genuinely care about something when the sole reason you're talking about it is because it's a way to parlay into your ad for a product you're selling. That's literally the only reason you made this video on this specific topic. You build all of your video topics around whatever product you're trying to peddle. All of your videos are glorified ad's. Some people are marks, but don't think a lot of people don't see exactly what you're doing. It's the reason I stopped watching your stuff years ago. The videos became repetitive and cheapened by knowing the topic was solely driven and motivated by you making money on whatever you would inevitably try to sell in the video. It made me stop trusting you and just viewing you as a slimy salesman. Let me be clear that I understand you aren't running a KZbin channel for free and you're trying to make money like a lot of KZbinrs do. My issue is with how you do it and the frequency in which you do it. It's like you can't make a video without selling something, and this video is a good example of how you do it. You try to disguise topics as something you're passionate about, when in reality the topics are solely dictated by the product or service you're selling. It's shady and gross.

Remember. Men built this world. It is the masculine traits which took us from caves to space. From hiding underground, terrified of the night and eating raw food, to freely controlling fire. From running every time we saw a bigger predator to being at the top of the food chain. It is exactly the masculine traits like certain disregard for one's safety, taking chances and the need to protect and provide for one's own that caused the progress humanity has experienced. Don't ever allow anybody to convince you that you are a part of some vile, opressive patriarchy. Don't ever let them make you believe that merely being a man makes you an opressor. Don't let them tell you you are privileged due only to having certain genitalia. Privilege is absolutely based on the environment and the situation. Sometimes men will have the privilege and sometimes women. Masculine traits will always be a major part of what humanity needs to move forward and survive. Just make sure your masculinity is a competent type of masculinity, not a corrupt type. It is sad that these ultra woke cultists don't know the difference. It can only mean that they never had competent male role models. Which is certainly a cricis of masculinity.

The irony in this video is that you are only successful and your channel exists because modern women are so difficult and hard to keep and maintain. Because the bar is so high. I am all for taking accountability and becoming the best version of oneself, but where are all of the videos telling women that they also need to improve? Why are there only videos telling men that they are the problem? 😂 Where is this conversation? No matter how good of a man you become, or how successful, or how good looking you are, there are mostly only low quality women to choose from today. Why are we all paying a premium price (better selves) for low quality products? What is the answer? 😂

As someone that has been growing up in this times, I know how hard it can be to be a men in this mentality these days, I am extremely greatfull to alpha M, I still remember when I first found this channel on my other account when I was 13 14, this channel made me grow so much as a person and as a man, it provided me with knowledge that I only thought of but not confirmed it, im truly thankful, and I'm now also on my way to starting my own business as well, although I work for the time being on a 9 to 5 type of job, im still on the process of breaking these chains that hold me, thank you for all your guidance all these years, It may sound cringe in today's perspective, but i truly am thankful for everything😢

Tsk, here's the thing. You say manosphere and how they look at women is bad, but you also have videos on psychological tricks(example - the 7 tricks video). I would argue that having the outlook on women when you see them as psychologically pliable and look to employ playing psychological games with her to get her to notice you or attached to you, is at the core of the kind of radical outlook on women you see in the manosphere. Obviously. You can't look at people that way and at the same time respect them. I will tell you to look at Courtney Ryan's reaction video to your 7 tricks video i talked about above and see how, in that comment section, so many men that claim to follow you are espousing the view point that you *have* to play games to get women to notice you. That kind of mindset is simply not compatible with having a positive outlook on women. If you’ve reached the conclusion that manosphere is toxic, maybe you should also check back to things you say and notice the trend of men online looking to learn machiavellian tricks to get women and whether they also drew inspiration from you.

I was born in the mid 80s in Australia, I was raised to respect others and their choices as long as other people weren’t being treated poorly, and to always look to find what unites us, not what separates us and I couldn’t agree more with your take on this crazy world right now, extreme views on both sides of the fence is doing nothing to help our society, let’s do our best as human beings to shut out the nonsense and focus on the things that make us strong, functional, helpful, kind and respectful. I think many of your viewers will benefit greatly from taking this straight down the centre approach to life. Have been watching your videos since a facial hair trimming video you released in 2012 😂Great to see your hitting home with straight forward helpful advice to keep people in check, top video mate, cheers.

I was with you at the beginning until you dragged walk into the conversation. Woke has a certain meaning that everybody is making broader and broader and broader. And therefore diluting what it really means. And let's face it, there's different definitions of what masculine is. Some of it is cultural and some of it is personal.

The best advice here is to focus on yourself and don’t associate with the crazies. I’ve never felt unwelcome by this channel as a member of the rainbow mafia, and have always viewed Aaron’s content as a net positive for anyone who is male (of any sexuality). Aaron has even made a point to include trans-men in his sphere. In the world I come from that’s as progressive as anyone could ask for. Not everyone is going to share my opinion and that’s fine, but I think it’s important to give Aaron and his work the respect it deserves. He’s always made a point to include rather than exclude even before his channel & businesses grew. That spoke volumes to me then and continues to now. Just my 2 cents.

@lonewolfsurvival34538 ай бұрын
Man, do not EVER negotiate who you are as a man. The problem is when men feel shamed about who they are and get sucked into trying to be something different, something more socially "acceptable". We cannot do that or we WILL be in BIG trouble. We have to stop caring about the masses and what those brainwashed sheep think of us and stay true to WHO WE ARE, as men. Throw away that mouth filter and speak your mind, don't ever let them control you. Letting those people silence you is weak and weak is not what we need in this country. We need strong, masculine men to rise up. All the weak men who succumb to the pressure of society will crumble away with the rest. Just my opinion, take it or leave it.
