Don't forget Browns vs Packers in 2017, they had a 21-7 lead late in the 4th quarter, but Brett freaking Hundley lead a 14 point comeback and Deshone Kizer threw a pick in OT to avoid a sack and the Packers won. That was probably the Browns best chance to win that year instead of going 0-16

How Bottlegate is mentioned as a Browns blunder I don't understand. That's a ref blunder that screwed the Browns out of a chance to win the game. By the way, the fans didn't ruin their chance at winning. The league office ordered the teams to return to the field, which the Jags just had to kneel down to end it.
@patsrule2134 жыл бұрын
Sir Mang The Jaguars would have been screwed because the pass was incomplete. The replay system buzzed prior to the snap so they had a legal review. You need to blame the Browns for the loss, not the referees. The offense didn't score a touchdown all game, that's not a good way to win a football game.
@patsrule2134 жыл бұрын
@Steven A. Worley The defense scored the only touchdown in the game, you should blame the browns for the loss, I guess we just disagree about whether or not it was a legal review.
@patsrule2134 жыл бұрын
Steven A. Worley The rules stated back in 2001 that a referee didn't have to react before the snap, that's the current rule. It was determined that replay buzzed prior to the snap. If the call was so outrageous, why wasn't he suspended or fired? There's no guarantee that the Browns would have scored a touchdown even if they called it a completed pass. They would been penalized for intentional grounding and they only had 3 more chances to score a touchdown. You need to blame the team for the loss. Quincy Morgan dropped the ball.
@giantsr1eva4 жыл бұрын
Sir Mang The referee said that the play could be reviewed and said that he dropped the ball. The Browns lost the game, blame the team.
@giantsr1eva4 жыл бұрын
Steven A. Worley That's irrelevant, the referee makes the final decision. The referee is always right, regardless. He makes the calls that go in the book. After the Quincy Morgan incompletion the ball is turned over to Jacksonville and they took two kneel down plays.

The worst part is that the Browns had at least 3 victories in their hands and twice the kicking game failed them or they didn't take advantage of their opportunities. They really should be 5-1, but as the Browns always do the find a way to blow it when it comes down to crunch time. That's why they are the Browns.

i don't think that will solve the problem. teams win when they are built up, not when they constantly change out people each season or two. i would give hue jackson at least 2 more seasons to structure the team. if he doesn't improve the team to a winning record by then, we can then say he is worthy of being fired.

@commonsense-og1gz6 жыл бұрын
@@forceman4795 and how many coaches came before him with losing records? the cycle of firing coaches needs to stop as each coach constantly changes a system, making it impossible for players to adapt. some coaches want a running game while a team may be geared for passing, so changing coaches means changing the whole system. if anything at all, the bengals are more in need of a new coach than the browns. this is the same strange logic as the oakland raiders thinking gruden will solve their problem.

The infamous 4th and 2 play happened on the Jaguars' 12-yard line. If the Browns had been able to keep the ball (which they should've, referees are never supposed to reverse a play after another play has already been completed after it), there is a good chance the Browns would've won the game as they needed to go 9 yards for a TD and had about 1:00 of game clock and a fresh set of downs.
