Been there few years ago when my daughter was studying in Marmara U. for her graduate studies. Turkey is such a beautiful country and food is cheap!

I have very fond memories of Turkey. We had a road trip on a BMW 750 cc touring bike we purchased in Germany and drove through Eastern Europe. My recollection of Turkey is the people are basically very friendly to foreign visitors. They do not hesitate to approach you and ask some friendly curious questions. We were out in the open on the bike and so it was easy to mingle with the locals. My husband and l took the same route from Istanbul to Ankara and certainly agree with the scenic view along the way. Seeing your trips make me nostalgic and happy at the same time.

That's a beautiful & nice drive on the road to Cappadocia.I hope you had a chance & time to stop by the Istanbul airport to check out the "lost & found" luggages that are usually stored in a huge room full of them as I've seen them on the news reports.It was also shown at the London Heathrow airport, where there was a room full of luggages that look like they're unclaimed luggages.Hope Marin can get them back even if it took like forever. You are correct, it looks like the bread basket area in U.S. I have been in Colorado as a student at Colorado State University..So I was able to travel to Nebraska...South Dakota and Wyoming..back to Denver. Hello MarVe😃😃. An enjoyable long road trip is always accompanied by light snacks but limited liquid intake; else, you end up always stopping for a "liquid deposit"😂🤣. Correct me if i'm wrong Ave..kasi my recall of a first road trip by MarVe was in Norway (sleeping in a car)🙂😁👍👌. Peg na peg kita when it comes to simplicity..tapos pag nag glam ay pak! Glam talaga nag tratransform ang aura mo sistah!.. Yes, that highway and scenery could easily be in here the US.Even the gas station rest stops and the high green highway signs and multi-lane. I am a Californian so I feel best when I have my wheels! I love long road trips on my own with my dog.I like to listen to music, sing loudly, think about life, set some goals, and just absorb what I am seeing as I drive.To me an 8 hour drive is not that long- especially on a good road.

I wanted to write for your request at 09:32 :) It’s a super rare thing to have a bad experience in Turkey as a foreign tourist. In Turkey we are raised being told that we should show respect to our guests at home or in our country. We grow up seeing our moms clean the house in detail or cook a lot of meals for guests. We are even forced to greet them at door and say welcome when we are f.. cool teenagers :) I recommend you to watch Wild Viking Travels Turkey vlogs on KZbin, to have a general insight about Turkish hospitality 😃
