ALL THE CAUCASUS VIDEOS: bit.ly/3WeMvO0 In November 2022, I travelled to the Caucasus region for 7 weeks. I started my travels by backpacking through Azerbaijan for 3 weeks before crossing the border into Georgia on foot. Having travelled around Georgia for 2 weeks in a 4x4 with my husband, he left to fly home and I continued on. The final leg of my journey started with an overnight train to Yerevan for around $45, and I planned to spend 10 days in Armenia to try to get a glimpse of this ancient country.

Wow. The only country I've never been to in Europe is: Armenia. The closest I got so far were the Armenian Church in Singapore and the little Armenian district in Isfahan/Esfahan in central Iran, of which I have fond memories. I've visited the other 50 European countries, so the next destination naturally should be Armenia. I can't wait to start travelling again! Thanks for the upload.

You need to go to Armenia in summer or Autumn as well. Armenians love watching other nations/people’s reactions to their country. The truely appreciate everyone’s efforts. It is a very small country, but every 30 mins driving landscape is changing and all states have their own character even different dialects of the Armenian language. Hope to see more videos from Armenia. Greetings from Sydney🇦🇺🌏

Thanks Aida for your comment and for watching! It is indeed a very safe way to travel. I just know that with my time in Azerbaijan, I was heavily questioned by the immigration officer. You welcome in my homeland Armenia, Syifa Jan. I don't know if you still here it this video filmed long time ago, I will be so happy to meet you and show you around the places you wasn't there before but in any case I wish you nice comfortable safe place as Armenia one of the top 10 safest countries in the world according to international statistics. As always I answer everyone, it's totally opposite when you visit Armenia then you go to what called Baku they will ask you thusands of questions, but Armenian side will never treat you in any wrong way if they ask it's super normal as any country asking let's say when I arrive to Poland or any eu country they ask a lot, but our side are always kind and polite the one who afraid to visit Armenia it's the one who have bad and some illegal things did before so definitely not you nothing to be worry I watched your videos and specially when you visited our churches in occupied turkey now and I have big appreciate respect through you and support you even you visit Azerbaijan that is normal to see both side. Welcome always in your second or third home if you want to called you and your husband God bless you 🙏✌️🇦🇲🤗

Silfa, in order to ride the trains of the former union, learn a little Russian, it will come in handy, all of a sudden you can ask or clarify something, everyone there, if they don’t speak, but understand the Russian language. And you won't get lost. The trains have common carriages, these are beds in three rows, then reserved seat carriages, this is without doors, then compartment carriages, this is for 4 people and with a door. And sleeping cars, but I've never ridden in one, so I don't know. And the rest had to go, but it was a long time ago. Silfa, don't think of going to Karabakh, it's not calm there.

I love traveling by train too crossing borders… walking to immigration borders OMG what an experience indeed. my first experience was overnight bus travel from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur in 2013. Then in 2014 day travel by bus from Saigon to Siem Reap… and train from Siem Reap to Bangkok… the nice thing about traveling on land is that you get to see more off beaten places and it’s cheaper than booking overnight in a hotel…. Train from Siem Reap to Bangkok is I think less than USD 2.00 and the sceneries are really great, though the train is a third class type but I don’t mind since it looks the same from the trains in the Philippines where I am from…

An interesting video, thanks! You are so brave, I would like to be like you! But about the train: in 'platskart' there are not 6 sleeping places on one side, but 4. The upper 2 shelves are for mattresses and other stuff. And on the other side, not just 2 places with a table where you can chat, there are also 2 sleeping places. It's just that this table turns over and you get a bed from below and a shelf is lowered above it and a second bed is obtained. I know this because we also have such trains in Belarus ☺

As an armenian I wish peace too but it ain't gonna happen sadly. Turks and azerbaijanis are too racist and chauvinistic. It's quit impossible. Even if they try to be friends as I write this it's going to take centuries to trust one another. Maybe if turkey and aserbaran recognize the armenian genocide things will rapidly move forward.
