This video is terrible, mostly because it’s a bunch of what ifs without power scaling, the premise should be how many of these characters would stand up to Netero… the answer is mostly none, so most cannot beat meruem

Netero has speed beyond the king. That, might mean that netero can beat people before they can get their technique off. Which meruem may not be fast enough to do the same. Making a theoretical difference in who may be able to beat who when using netero as a measuring stick.

@@N1rOx I see what you're saying, but Netero's attacks were only very slightly faster than ANY of the King's movements. To be clear, Meruem was still dramatically faster than Netero overall. He only exceeded him in that one single thing, and only barely, as stated as stated directly by both characters, and then demonstrated twice with an arm and a leg. I don't imagine anybody on this list is somewhere right between Meruem's base speed and Netero's attack speed, so I don't think it does anything to prevent Netero from being a more accessible benchmark for measuring against Meruem.

HxH doesn't do powerscaling in the traditional sense. How abilities interact with eachother is much more important than how hard you can punch or get punched

Chrollo has 4 conditions to steal a nen ability and it basically is impossible to do in a battle too the death. 1. He must see the ability 2. The ability must be explained too him to a degree 3. The targets palm must touch the book. 4. The original user must be alive (with the exception of post morten nen, ex: sun and moon.) Chrollo doesnt have a chance. I love him but even if he fulfilled his conditions that doesnt take his nen just an ability. Tldr muruem would wipe the floor with chrollo.

Okay so you seem to have missed that killua can make requests of nanika without the drawbacks. So that's 1 simple victory against meruem, no drawbacks. The only other characters I give a possibility to is phinks and knuckle. If meruem will just offer phinks the same deal of 1 punch, I think he could wind up enough times to take meruem out. There are maybe some other abilities that have chances, but the important thing is either an ability with unlimited potential like phinks or some kind of hax that enforces zetsu or poisons or something.

This video isn't inherently wrong or terrible (pronunciation and not sounding like you are just reading off a script need some work but that's alright), but it needed some lamp shading and the premise better set up. Especially since it'll attract a community who can be as particular about details as the HxH community. Something like "yes we know that there was absolutely no stopping the king before the rose, but let's say there's a reason that we needed to buy time or end him faster after his rebirth." I get the feeling that's what you were going for, but I can easily see that being lost on people.

the interesting part of hxh is just because netero can't beat meruem, doesn't mean no one else cant. hxh power scaling works differently from others anime even at this point we still don't understand the true scale of nen ability i can take gon for example there's no way i thought he can beat neferpitou even kaito cant beat her despite being a much more experienced hunter but gon still no diff neferpitou despite being a 14yo with less combat experience just because of nen not because he is the main character and another example is kurapika he made a chain specifically to fight phantom troupe uvogin he can do the same for meruem if he wanted to and with some help he probably can win the fight easily.in hxh we can't just compare because each people have their own distinct advantage over the others depends on nen type plus their will and their strict rules over nen ability to make their ability stronger.

The ants literally resurrected hundreds of people with them coming back. He was almost god like in the show compared to what we know. So time will tell what happens.

It's the whole threat level to human survival, not one person. And it was easily taken care of with bombs and honestly the way chimera ant was taken care of was that they were extremely unlucky and the chimera ants were allowed to develop which made it like an A threat. And in terms of destructivity chimera ants was A rank which is the highest. One reason chimera ant was simpler to deal with was that it was just a raw power type of situation and not a weird contagion situation or ai type of case.

All of Phantom Troupe would get annihilated by Meruem. Chrollo and Hisoka are nothing compared to Meruem. You need to reread the chimera ant arc to understand how powerful they were. And Ging, Pariston, Beyond Netero, Gyro we have no idea what they are capable of so it's a ?. Nanika would one-shot anyone with just a wish.

Also, Meruem is extremely smart and fights with the best tactics so he would outsmart Chlorro. Phantom Troupe would get annihilated by Meruem. In his fight with Netero, Meruem was able to see that small opening and used that to bypass Netero's attack. Phantom Troupe is mid-tier. They got owned by Kurapica.

So the group as a whole is stronger than the group that fought in the chimera ant arc. Also, I see Beyond Netero as stronger than Issac Netero simply because he seems to be in his prime. And forget the dark continent, spiders should worry whether they will survive in the black whale. You are overrating phantom troupe. Truth be told I miss actions now in hxh.
