Thanks for good videos. Always interesting. A heads up. The "life guard" or as it's called in sweden "Livgardet". History wise it's the regament dedicated to keeping the head of the country (the king) alive. These days the most specialized in conflicts in urban enviroment. The Gustav Vasa ship sunk because they put to many cannon balls on the lower deck so it mismatched the weight at the top deck causing is to capsice
@Nanakiyami
@Nanakiyami 2 жыл бұрын
Vasa sunk because it wasn't originally designed to have the additional cannon deck and the proportions were waaay off. It was doomed to fail from the start as the entire design was unstable and it was too heavily armed in relation to the design. But Gustav II Adolf had already signed it and approved the design even if they knew it was unstable, and I guess no one dared to argue with the king. Pride, vanity and ignorance sunk the Vasa, not cannonballs.

You make it sound as Sweden had the third biggest airforce at WW2 start, I think it was 4th at the end in 1945 not 3rd. Since Italy and Germany lost most of their planes.

The Swedish lifeguards or as it is called in sweden Livgardet. Livgardet comes from the original unit called Svea Livgarde and then a lite bit later just livgardet or in English, lifeguard! Svea livgarde or lifegard, as it is now called, is older than 500+ years! Im from Sweden 🇸🇪

Show a program about how Karl the 12 th totally changed the use of calvary, and dragons and had riden troops that totally dominanted many battles. It is said they charged with the riders knees interlocked with each other ,and were impossible to stop! Karl the 12 remade the whole concept of riden troops!

Why don't try to get an "international" take on the "lumpen" a.k.a the Swedish military service. The perspective together with a historical "now and then" would be OP but the coolest would be if you could get an "internship" in the military or some kind vlog where one of you guys or a surrogate shows how the "lumpen" works and give the insight on how it differs from other countries...

Not to forget, as we did forget to sign a peace accord with Andorra after some individual had the audacity to declare war on them. We did eventually sign a peace treaty with them in 1988 after a very long time. Not a single shot was fired. At that point in time a full 100% mobilization of the Swedish forces would have numbered 850 000 personell. We are today far from those numbers due to a massive downgrade of our armed forces in the 1990's
