So many plants to love! Probably pothos or sansevieria because even if I neglect them the stay alive and grow🪴

I thought I was basic because pothos and snake plants are my favorite but I’m glad to see it’s other people agree.. they’re like the good favorite child that doesn’t give you any grief lol 😅

I think my "cannot live withouts" are ZZ, old school heart leaf philodendron, sansevierias, and at least one hoya (although choosing which one would be very challenging). But it's hard for me to visualize having to scale back to that level.

I've had what I call a silver satin pothos for 10+ years growing by my back door. I have had 2 varieties of Hoya for nearly that long. The variegated one blooms but is prone to scale insects. The other never blooms but has not been infested with scale. I bought a big, bushy Monstera deliciosa last October & soon had to move it into a larger pot. It thrived by a south-facing window until summer. Now the leaves are turning brown & dying!

Take out your plant from soil .wash the plant and the pot completely.put your whole plant including roots in water for 4 minutes rinse it off use soap and rubber alcohol spray (mix with water) on your plant on the top and underneath of the leaves .change the soil and dont keep your soil wet bc mealies like it wet

I have 36 plants in my home. Some as old as 2009 until now and some I started buying last Spring 2023. They iclude some propagations doubling some in quantities (Pothos, Snake Plant and Gloriosum). Have kept many alive since 2009 and now I absolutely am into garening whether in my home or container gardening on my terrace... So Terrace I have 4 tomato plants and 2 pepper plants. Alll different varieties. Philodendron Rojo Congo, Philo Jungle Fever, Philo Gloriousum, Philo Brasil, Philo Squamiferum, Monstera Delisiosa, Croton Petra, English Ivy, Maranta ( Prayer Plant) , 2- ZZ's ( regular and black), Blue Star Fern, Lucky Bamboo, Cryptanthus/Pink Star, 6 Cacti; the names are too long for me to know how to spell but one is a Cowboy or Prickly Pear, and the other a Blue Torch, Crassula/String of Buttons, and an Algaonema/Chinese Evergeen cutting. NEED MORE. I am looking to add the Kangaroo Paw Fern, Philo Equadorian Canoe/Jerry Horne, and a few more that will kep my "jungle vibe" going......

I will always have all the Hoya I can get my grubby fingers on, heart leaf philodendron, and peperomia hope. Peperomia hope was the most pleasant surprise when I found it at Home Depot this year. It has just gone bonkers since bringing it home. It really is the forgiving happy and charming plant I’ve ever owned. Constantly gives out new growth no matter what I do. My Hoyas understand me and I understand them. They are always sending me happy little leaf surprises right when I need them. Heart leaf philodendron is just a staple everyone needs and is also always happy. With that being said there is one plant I could live without that is on your list 😬. The fiddle leaf. lol. I love them and I want them but they hate me. I did manage to keep one little fiddle alive on my kitchen counter next to my since for 3 years but she went bye bye one sad day and I just don’t know how to keep her alive anywhere that isn’t next to my sink haha

Fun video and I would love to see more like it. The plant genus (?) I will always have is peperomia. I have clusifolia, 3 obtusifolia, happy bean, red log, ruby glow graveleons, capareta frost, hope, and an unknown. I think I will always have a peperomia. Oddly, I kill all other succulents but love the peps that are succulent like. I'll probably always have a pothos and a Philo Brazil and micans. Oddly I do fine with my succulent like peps but will kill any other succulent or cactus. Even though I'm not a fan of astrophytum, I enjoy your search for those.

pothos and monstera, basic plants i know but a variety or two of either houseplant collections seem off. snake plants, portulacaria afra, true jades. portulacaria afra(dwartf jade) is the plant i look at the most when im plant shopping. if i seen an interesting trunk in a pot of afra that pot is coming home with me

Snake plant, rubber tree, China doll, five pathos like yours, one birkin, can't decide if I love it or that it just looks to weird, schefflera, angel wing begonia, have grown outside and inside, Swedish ivy aka creeping Charlie, dracaena, finally Chinese evergreen. I grow Swedish and spider plants on patio. Your begonia can be cut back part way and you can simply insert cut limp directly into soil. Works for me. Do you have any of the plants I have?

I’d have to add any type of philodendron, bird of paradise, ZZ ….. I’m not that into lipstick plants like you are. They appear too fragile. I agree with your assessment of thick-leafed Hoyas. I only have two Hoyas, one thick and one thin. My thin-leafed Hoya is definitely more fragile, temperamental, and on its way out.
