Chef is an interesting idea … in the long term. If depression is hitting us in the next two yrs, no one would have the spare cash to spend on hiring a chef to cook something that they could also do so themselves, plus chef is a low barrier of entry, I would imagine chefs will become freelancers and it will be a cut throat price cutting industry to be in. Yes there maybe a few celebrity chefs coming out of this model but it wont be the majority.

Not true. There's lots of great scripts out there. You know what happens? Fox is notorious for buying scripts that have potential to be amazing and then they archive them forever. It's like everything else, the big guys squeeze out the little guy., corners the market and puts shit on the shelves for sale. If these small-time script writers could get financed by someone who isn't Fox, Disney, Warner Brothers, Dreamworks, etc We could have awesome stuff more often. Hollywood destroys everything they touched: Transformers,X men, new Godzilla sequel, New Star wars, all basically crap because they just promote the name without really working on great content.

it's the other way around I think. Let's say we have a completely new film idea with a new title, or you have a reboot of a popular movie. Most people just don't get excited or dont know anything about the 'unknown' movie, and the box office numbers are far better for the reboot, much much more people hyped it before release and saw it in theaters. Therefore, studios, whose primary objective is, and always was to make more money, see these tendencies, and make more remakes, because more people watch them, and they get more money. There are exceptions, but this is a tendency nowadays. Studios make movies which generate more money, not the other way around. We, the fans, vote with our wallets. There are interesting new concepts, like cinematic universes for example, but most original ideas just don't get as much recognition from fans as they used to. Just watch some box office numbers, it will speak for itself :/

I've lost interest in a lot of movies because Hollywood/the studio execs ruin them by trying to appeal to the biggest audience, thus leaving stuff out/censoring/making it family friendly/catering to SJW's because they're sensitive. Its awful as well how most movies now try to add "comedic lines" in otherwise somewhat serious movies, tbeines arent even funny most of the time. Give me a serious movie or a funny one instead of trying to mix the two genres and ending up with a bland and unmemorable movie. Take Suicide Squad for example. When I first heard the name, I'm thinking wow, finally a superhero movie that's legit/not for 7 year olds. Omgg that movie was disappointing, they really dropped the ball, it was the opposite of badass.

Actually, if you stop and think about the main goal of an economy, it is to stop working, or at least work less. Be more productive with the time you have. What’s really antiquated is the forced 45 hr work week. We were duped into overpaying for cheaply made condos and badly assembled houses for half a million each. This, in turn, forced most of the working class... to keep working. With everything that is coming down the pipe according to this video, the standard work week ought to fall to somewhere between 10-15 hours. The prices of goods and services will adjust accordingly.
@fisher1907
@fisher1907 4 жыл бұрын
Macio Luko Do you think your employer will pay you the same money for half a weeks work? Very much doubt it. Would be a nice reality but just can’t see it happening. But yeah we have been ripped for our homes. Only cost about 60k to build a house.
@macioluko9484
@macioluko9484 4 жыл бұрын
Tommy Fish Oh absolutely not. Your employer will pay you your agreed wage for hours worked. My point is that if we stopped all the bs inefficiency at work - meetings, emails, commutes, safety committees - the actual time spent working would expose itself to 10-15 hrs. Now this wouldn’t happen in a vacuum. It would happen in every office and work site. Take home pay would plummet and as a result, the prices of goods and services would plummet also. This was happening naturally in the 1800s in the US. To prevent the natural outcome of this great economy to continue, the treasonous bastards established the Federal Reserve in 1913. Since that time we have seen a lowered standard of living and soaring prices. I totally agree with you that a home today is in the 60K ballpark. Just look at the tiny home movement.
@fisher1907
@fisher1907 4 жыл бұрын
Macio Luko I’m from the U.K. and from what I can see is that this virus is gonna cause a work from home revolution. It would save company’s millions and take the strain of our infrastructure. I work at jaguar Land Rover and they have furloughed most of their staff and it’s still been ticking over nicely so I’m guessing we’re gonna see businesses running alot leaner.

So instead of just taking my wife to a restaurant or calling Uber eats, I'm going to pay a random stranger hourly to go grocery shopping, drive to my house and familiarize himself with my sub-standard kitchen? At this point me and the misses are trying to watch a movie while some dude makes Uber style small talk about where we keep the cutlery. 4 hours after I place the order we're finally eating but by this point he's hungry too and eats with us. I don't wanna be rude so he might as well stick around to help me tag team my wife. Real fucking romantic. Is there an app to replace my divorce lawyer?

Totally agree at $25 an hour you gotta be tripping. It ain’t gonna be that price you need a production kitchen so the food is prepped ready to be cooked off, the time for traveling from a to b needs to be covered. The kitchen has to have the equipment and crockery to serve up on because if the chef is bringing that the costs goes up also once you get to around 10 people you need a waiter as well to serve wine and run the food out otherwise service slows down because if you’re being paid by the hour for a fixed amount of time it’s not good to be over running and working for free. Then there’s the common situation of no parking in cities, customers going out to a bar before you arrive and coming back late so you can’t get onsite or just booking the wrong day for food. Did private dining for two years it was a massive pain in the arse.

Think car note, gasoline and oil changes, insurance, finance charges, maintenance and break downs, warranties not honored, parking, traffic jams, traffic tickets, home delivery, online shopping, crime on the streets, drunk drivers, law suits, flat tires, bad weather, mother-in-law in the back seat, and a not big enough social security check to finance it all that comes with aging and loss of the ability to drive If you wanted to take a vacation, you could rent a car. Automobiles are now officially too expensive to own. Besides, Chevy is now a Red Chinese company because of democrats.

Sometimes you want to go outside somewhere to hangout and meet people. The same thing goes to cinema. Those businesses not just selling product, but they're selling experience too. Not all new technologies will replace the old ones. Look at books and watches.

Efan Ferdianto Wibowo books, yeah but watches will go away. Just like he said, luxury watches will stick around but haven't you noticed even semi-luxury brands are making smartwatches now. It's only a matter of time.. could also be that the whole concept of wearing a watch will phase itself out. I think a lot of young people only use their phones to check time, finding a watch an unnecessary hassle daily. With AR and wearable technology, watches won't be needed anymore.

there are those but there are also the people who are doing other things and either don't want to or can't take a long pause to eat. Such as the person who's on his lunch break at work. think of it they probably have somewhere between a half hour and a hour (including travel time) to get some food, and so a sit down restaurant or waiting on a chief just takes to long. by the time they get there and the food comes out they have to go. So a faster/cheaper option is preferred not for being lazy but it gives them some time to actually eat the food.

That is true, not just burgers but the other kinds of fast food as well, it's not just that they want burgers. but there are practical reasons why places that can make decent food fast will always be in demand. But how much is the part that's just the 'line rental', what you pay for your number? Because that's what your man is talking about saving on in the video. Here it's about €5. Hard to say for sure because it's always bundled with data, but a phone number + 2GB starts at about €7/month. Obviously if you're paying off a phone, then people pay more, but I don't know anyone that pays even close to $100. Maybe half that if you're paying off an expensive phone and have unlimited calls and data.

Point being, in an uber you hande way less control than in your own house, yet you take it anyway. The taxi industry had been here for a while, yeah. But that's generally because the disruption came earlier. The disruption technology to restaurants will come as well. Maybe it won't start in the US, it may start in a place with far higher standards of living like Hong kong or Singapore.

About the chef... maybe It could work the first time but you can ask him his number and call him whenever you want. It's easy and better for the chef because he doesn't have to pay to use that app.

Blizzard has figured out the college sports league. They started their own league for their video game Overwatch. They pay their players a salary - not tied to any college. We will see how successful their model is in the coming decade but colleges should get on this if they want to survive.

Colleges will decline because a college degree is no longer an assurance that you can get a good full time job. Times have changed and the courses offered in college are no longer no longer needed that much unless those are STEM courses but even then many engineers are underemployed or work in another industry just to survive.

"why do I pay for a phone?" Well, I work in an army camp, which means NO CAMERA PHONES. And last time I checked, government agencies do not use FB chat/messenger to contact me. So there.

Cars? Smartphones? Americans are too in love with those. Also, personal chefs for only 25.00 an hour? Good luck with that.

The private chef idea could actually work. Most people coming out of culinary school will jump out those $25 an hour instead of getting $12 slaving away in a restaurant kitchen, getting yelled at by the Chef & Sous Chef.

I like the idea , but will cost you more than 25 depending how many people in the family . Say for two people cost you 100 to 150 . You set up 4 a day you should make more than 500 a day

Walmart online fucking sucks compared to amazon, they have horrible shipping. The reason Amazon dominates is because of Prime. And half of americans pay for amazon prime. And amazon is about to have their own full-fledged logistics service too.

A low price is pointless if they never have what customers are looking for...countless times I've looked for items in Walmart only to find they were out of stock (and it seems to take forever to bring them back). I pull out my phone, order the same item and BAM...in 2 days it's at my door! Walmart thinks they're too big to fail and Amazon is kicking their ass...and Walmart knows it! #TeamAmazon
