Voice isolation and dialog enhancer are a 1-2 punch of audio awesomeness. With two clicks in Studio I've had cleaner audio than back when I would spend hours in Audition filtering and cleaning it up. Anybody debating if it's worth paying for Studio over the free version, IT IS!! The auto subtitle generation is fantastic too. Fast and VERY accurate. The only issue I've run into so far is when using relight I hit an error about not enough GPU memory being available and it crashed. To be fair, it was on an nVidia studio card on a laptop, so it only has 4GB of video memory to begin with. Probably would run betting on my desktop with 12GB of VRAM. BMD has absolutely nailed the latest release. Can't wait to see what they do next!
@TomAntos Жыл бұрын
Yes those are great tools. BMD has really created the ultimate tool with video, audio and VFX tools in one program.

3 months ago when i started learning video editing i used premier for a weak & it crashed 2 times a day then switched to Davinci & that was one of the best days of my life till now. I tried after effects too but everything is way more faster & smooth in Davinci. I can do all the motion graphics in Davinci using the right tools.

Davinci Resolve is a God send for everyone... It's really starting to kick Adobe's backside too now! I think most people given it's free, if they get a career or money from using it, would thank the devs by paying them for Studio version. I just use it to stick clips together and personal silliness for now, but it's such an amazing piece of software. Adobe needs constant net connections, has crashes, bugs, and costs 90% more than it's worth for what the average user does on it. DR is really great for students to understand the process of Video editing. It's like the Blender of the 3d world and the team behind it are really very intelligent folk.

Hey Tom - great video! Actually, I swiped my finger on my iPhone by mistake while watching and… the video got minimised like picture in picture type of thing. Doesn’t happen with any of the other KZbin videos I tried - is it some soft of a selection you made as a creator, a setting or something? And yeah… I am now considering buying the Studio version to level up my YT channel.

00:00 🎨 Depth Map in DaVinci Resolve helps separate foreground from background for selective effects application. 03:07 🎭 Magic Mask feature simplifies rotoscoping with AI, making subject isolation or effect application easier without manual frame-by-frame adjustments. 06:19 ✂ Demonstrates how to composite text behind a subject using Magic Mask and Alpha Output to create layered visual effects. 07:22 🚫 Object Removal tool efficiently removes unwanted elements from shots, enhancing the scene's believability. 09:03 💄 Face Refinement tool offers detailed facial adjustments, including shine removal and smoothing, to improve actor's appearance in shots. 12:42 🔊 Voice Isolation improves audio clarity by removing background noise, focusing on spoken words. 15:59 💡 Relight feature allows post-production lighting adjustments, offering a virtual lighting setup that can enhance or alter the scene's mood. 17:33 🔄 Smart Reframe automatically adjusts the framing for different aspect ratios, keeping the subject centered and well-composed in vertical formats. 18:35 🕵 Face Recognition organizes clips by identifying and grouping shots of the same person, simplifying the editing process for projects with multiple subjects. 19:06 🎭 Face Recognition in DaVinci Resolve groups clips by actor, adding metadata for efficient organization and retrieval. 20:07 📝 Editing with text via audio transcription allows for easy navigation and editing of long talking head videos by creating sub-clips directly from transcribed text. 22:24 📂 Audio classification organizes media into categories like dialogue, music, and sound effects, streamlining the initial organization process for editors. 23:32 🛠 Beyond the showcased AI tools, DaVinci Resolve offers additional features like automatic subtitles, super scale, hyperspeed, or automatic scene detection for advanced video editing.

Hi Tom. Greetings from Italy. I have been following you for a long time and admire the simplicity with which you explain things. I have material shot a long time ago in Betacam and MiniDV and I need to put it into a DaVinci timeline in FullHD. Any advice? THX!
@TomAntos Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your continued support! You need to first transfer the footage from the tapes into digital file format. There are several companies that do transfers like that or you can also buy a video capture card online and the beta betacam plus miniDV players and then transfer the footage yourself

this video's crazyyyyyyyyyyy all these little things I either forget about how to do or never knew were a thing, aaaaaaaaaaaaah makes my studio license 1000x more useful
@lxrproductions Жыл бұрын
Excellent overview, concise and practical. Thank you, however, my experience with the magic mask has been a bit of a letdown I find whenever it’s trying to map forward through separating or conjoining objects, say if two people are holding hands that separate their hands… it really doesn’t pick up on that breakage point easily and I find a lot of it unuseable… thoughts?
@TomAntos Жыл бұрын
sometimes there will be situations where the AI still doesn't know exactly what to do as the scene changes. In that case I divide the shot up and do the magic mask on different parts of the shot. So I would do one section where they are holding hands and then do another section where the hands are separate.
