This video was an absolute life saver. I took one look at the default effects in Davinci Resolve and nearly just gave up on creating videos because how was I supposed to work with those. Thank you so much for making this video. Once I downloaded the zoom and caption plug-in I felt so inspired and just sat down editing away happily for hours. Again thank you so much! You’re awesome!

Not a big commenter, but I will say that in addition to the very well produced content, the other reason I subscribed is your 'real' presentation style. Especially with the decision to leave in your dialogue flubs (rather than hard cutting every-single-sentence). You come across much more authentic, human, and lend additional credibility to your content. As a professional producer (and former DJ myself), I consider your channel among my top go-to for media information, tips and tutorials. Keep your head up and follow your passion.

Wow I really appreciate it. Thank you

Piggybacking on your comment. I cannot stand it when creators cut everything they say, implying they either messed up or they think that it somehow saves time. Having more flow brings cohesion. The twitchy dialogue doesn't work for me - maybe it works for the younger crowd.

I don't normally critic what people do because I support individual style. However, when you spoke about captions and using 1 word at a time versus a long string of lines, that makes it very difficult for people like me with Dyslexia. There are a lot of time that I have to pause a video or rewind so I can read all the text (when needed). When it's one word at a time...well I guess you can imagine the frustration of play, pause, play, pause, and so on. Fortunately, in most cases I can turn off captions (as I'm sure someone will recommend) but if it's part of the video itself, it becomes very distracting and we can't enjoy the video. Other than that, Great video full of information, including the caption section, that I can implement into my videos. One of the more concise straight to the point videos. Thank you, you have a new subscriber, and God bless.

Interesting feedback. Thanks for sharing your experience. Curious if you have seen my short form videos in particular and had the same issue? I always figured the large text would offset any particular comprehension issue, but it’s interesting to hear your perspective
@woodandwheelz2 ай бұрын
@@kylemeshna Being 100% honest, I just watched some today. I recently found your channel because I was looking for Davinci Resolve helps as I'm new to the program and was editing my first video with it. THEN, I went down the YT Rabbit Hole and found your channel. I did of course subscribe because I liked the content and figured the rest of you channel would be similar (i.e. style, information, flow). And, here's the thing. When I watch with the sound on, I ignore the text. But, when I have to watch videos with the sound off, like I'm sitting in the DMV and don't want to bother anyone and I was stupid and forgot my earbuds, then I can not keep up with the text. Unless it's slow. I'm sure that I'm a minority in this issue and am by no means a reason for you to change your editing style or preferences. I was simply stating my side. Of the videos of yours that I did watch, they're great. And, I say, keep it up. I love the info. I also want to watch others a lot to get better at editing my videos. I'm new with few subscribers and I know that Quality of the videos is what matters. That's also how I found your channel. Thank you for answering my comment and feel free to critique (yeah, I know I misspelled that the first time, LoL) my videos. That's how I learn.

You are just the minority of people out there, if 1 word captions didn't work KZbin shorts wouldn't exist I work with some of the most popular creators and the closer to 1 word the caption is the most retention it gets that's just data, you can't change that
@woodandwheelzАй бұрын
@@suamaenovr8554 I agree with you, and I understand that I'm the minority in this case. I was just explaining my perspective. You have to go with what works with the system and not individuals (to an extent). But you are absolutely correct. God bless.
