That John Brooks at Benfica story was badly told. He was brought in on deadline day because Benfica thought we had 4 central defenders, and 3 were suddenly injured, the third injury meaning we needed to find a fifth for cover, John Brooks joined for that reason. With him taking a couple weeks to get used to the place, António Silva stepped up big time (he wasn't being considered as an option yet) and made the place his own, and by January we had 6 central defenders, we sold John Brooks while being very thankful for his presence, loaned out João Victor who had been hired to compete with Verissimo and Morato for a place next to Otamendi, and to prepare for an Otamendi exit at the end of the season, and now we have 4 centre backs for two positions, with the two Brazilians offering hella great cover to Silva and Ota. If Ota stays after this summer, I can see one of the 3 Brazilians leaving on a permanent deal.

Tete definitely the best January signing. Nathan Jones is the worst managerial appointment in years though.

buying Ryerson for a not-so-impressive and injured Meunier sounds amazing for Dortmund, also Juranovic for Ryerson sounds good too for Union Berlin

I would say Pedro Porro to Tottenham , Tete to Leicester City , Danilo to Nottingham Forest , Danny Ings to West Ham United and Onuachu to Southampton as my top 5 “season saving” signings.

@@lurpakspreadable9751 its laughable he's never finished the 90 minutes always subbed off at around the 60th min for Raul or Costa or he's coming off the bench and he hasn't scored yet when Cunha can't even get ahead of Morata and wolves paid so much now he can't even put himself well ahead of whatever costa and Raul have left it should actually be one of the worse signings so far in the season
