Me watching this video: Totally zen, paying attention, imagining myself hitting the balls exactly as demonstrated. Me in a match: Headless chicken in total panic

I will be playing Padel for the very first time this coming Saturday. Having played pickleball for the past five years I have learned that less is more. What I found from your video has reinforced that notion. I feel like you have given me a wonderful head start for my lesson and play this coming weekend. I will focus, as you suggested on moving my feet, short compact flat swing, and keeping paddle low. Thanks so much.

Hey Evan, I follow your channel from Pretoria, South Africa. Could you please do a video specifically on the serve? Especially feet position and follow through etc

These are fantastic tips for beginners like me. I've been forcing the lob with a massive swing and trying to defend with top spin. Thank you for the advice!

Very nice breakdown, thanks! Though might be hard to keep all things in mind for a beginner/early intermediate as myself. So I like to just focus on one thing at a time per game/set/match. Like, telling myself "Ok, today I just make sure to keep the racket low", etc

Hey, I have been watching your videos the last couple of days and I am a big fan of your content. It is helping me to understand some shot selection coming from 16 years of tennis and a lot of times choosing the wrong shot. I have a question though. In this video you said to defensively play the ball flat and wait for the lob. But in a different video you mentioned to lob more. Or does it depend more on the level? Higher level, more flat balls to the feet? Hope you get to see this. All the best!

Perhaps something important to mention about the choice of whether to turn or step away from the wall. The difference with stepping away is that you get out of position, unlike the turn. So if you have time to turn and you're comfortable with it, that could be a better choice.

Don't think the part on the corner tip where you say you should decide if you're gonna turn on that ball or not before you actually start the match is good. If you turn or not depends a lot on the ball, if it has a lot of side rebound you should turn and if it stays close to the wall you shouldn't, this specifically when the ball hits the side glass and than the back glass. You shouldn't make rules like that because it depends from ball to ball. Otherwise great tips!
