As a Lake Ontario guy, Lake Trout were greasers that nobody wanted. Then I moved to Wisconsin and started fishing by the Apostles, and damn yes Lake Superior Lakers are a different strain.

Superior is the largest lake on the planet by surface area. Lake Baikal is the largest by volume.
