There is a lot of high voltage here. I am sure if this wasn't mobile. would require a fully licenced, and probably specialist electrician. Different rules for mobile/British, or punting high and following through?

I'm not aware of any regs regarding HV converted/custom vehicles in the UK. That said, its always a great idea to get it checked by a qualified electrician.

First I want to tell you the build looks really great. I love watching your progress. BUT...I hope you only wear those gloves for the sake of the video and all the safety Sally's out here. Watching you fumble about trying to do the simplest task makes me cringe. I'd say you're about 10x more likely to short a terminal trying to do anything with those things on.

Thanks Bill! Those gloves are overkill at 12000v rating, smaller 1000v ones would be better and easier to work with if you were doing a lot of 'messing'. The reality, thats the most complex HV contact we've had on this conversion.

Sorry! We've tried to keep things simple/illustrate its simplicity but i guess its not translated well...haha. It is actually quite straight forward, which is exactly what we wanted. Aside from wiring up the 12v side of stuff to allow the Motor to be stand alone, the small gauge (battery monitoring) and large gauge (power supply) High Voltage connections/wiring is super simple and essentially as it is in the Leaf just longer in places due to the different battery positioning. If theres anything you want us to go over, clarify or cover that we might have missed please let me know and i'll try and get it into the next videos 👍

@@gavin6538 we're cracking on slowly, had a holiday and now playing catch up so. Will film more next week and try to get the next episode out ASAP. Very close to switching it all on
