I checked out Cuir de Russie and it's on my list. I love leathers, they're one of my favorite genres. I recommend to you Kilian's Dark Lord. I adore that one. I own Oud Wood Intense and for me that is incredibly leathery.

I enjoy leather fragrances. 2 of my favorites omitted from this particular list are Nasomatto's "Duro" and Pure Distance "M". I believe you've covered both of these scents however on separate occasions. - The De Medici tale is fascinating. Afnan Rare Carbon is essentially a summer version of Ombré Leather. Ozonic and fresh but with the same leather and raspberry. I normally wear the real thing, but whenever I come back to Rare Carbon I think "You know, this is good for how much it costs". Fahrenheit EDT also works in the summer with that violet leaf.

I love the leather genre! I just ordered Sultan Leather Attar by Ensar Oud from Luckyscent. In fact in their description they do refer to Cuir de Russie. For what I paid for a 0.3gm sample, it had better be worth it. It's got aged rose oil, ouds and 30+ aromatics. 😳

Have you done a general fruity group? I know you've done a lot with citruses. Maybe a berry, peach, apricot, apple, that kind of thing? And do you own any powdery fragrances? I'd love to see a video on that as I've recently gotten into them because they are so comforting in this difficult time. Thanks for your wonderful videos and helping us get through this by focusing on the hobby we love. I've gotten so many great ideas from you!

My first experience with leather was so bad I didn’t attempt again for 10 years. It was cheap and the leather smelled sour. However lately I’ve been dabbling in better leathers (Memo, TF) and now have a whole new appreciation of the genre.

I love Leather fragrances but soft, on a feminine way, with flowers or on a more suede version. My very best is Cuir Ottoman by Parfum d'Empire; I love Bottega Veneta eau de parfum too. I have to try Cuir Fetiche by one of my best brands : MPG. ❤️

I had Ombre Leather but to me or on me there was something very screetchy synthetic about it and I didnt like it. I swaped it on parfumo for The Merchant of Venice's Sultan Leather and that one is awsome! Spicy animalic musky leather. If u dont know it u have to try it I think u will like it Sebastian!

I have quite a few leather fragrances. But my absolut favorite is Cuir Andalou by Rania J. because it really has that authentic leather smell. Like a really expensive Nappa leather jacket.

Tom Fords Fucking Fabulous is my favourite leather. I also have PDM Godolphin. Godolphin is a very potent leather to my nose hence why I’ve only ever used it twice, someday I might like it.

Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve is hands down the most roughest leather my nose has yet to come across. Picture a 75 Cadillac Eldorado that's been sitting to bake in the Nevada sun for years with a cigar left to smolder in the ashtray. If you can picture that, you're almost there.

Great story on the gloves. It’s partly true to what I know. Leather was washed with Urine to tan it. That made the leather gloves smell real bad of the urine. To give it an other scent to started to perfume the gloves.

I may add Baudelaire from Byredo I found it very leathery, no one use to talk about it and of couse Dark Lord by Kilian and Duro probably the most leathery frag I smelled so far

Nothing alike mate! Honestly even if you could afford it, as a fragrance stick with Nicolai, unless you are trying to experience transitions, tonal depth, realistic renditions etc. etc....

This is a challenging note for me. I love the same of leather in real life. My precious dog was an Entlebucher Mountain Dog (the smart little brother to the Bernese) and he had the best smell to his coat, literally like a leather chair. But then, we got another dog a sweetheart mutt but she smells totally different from him. Not sure if it’s cause she’s female but her skin/coat smells stinky and unpleasant, not because she needs a bath it’s totally her smell. A bath helps for sure. But it’s her smell. Anyways I’m shocked at how differently dogs can smell. I have “African Leather” Memo and can’t get behind the leather note. It’s such a challenging smell. I wonder how it’ll smell on someone else though, the leather note. I might be trying to force my nose. I love freshness and aquatic and cheerful smells. So ya maybe just not up my nose profile for now. I am waiting on a sample of “ BDKs “ Crème de Cuir. Might be less challenging
