Max Payne. There are fixes to increase the resolution etc, but my NOSTALGIA glasses got broken once I started playing the game. You run into situations where you've got a tiny bit of health left and so die/restart over and over. Maybe I just suck, but I remember loving the game before and hating it now.

I have Played the original Prince of Persia and have a few of Need for Speed driving games. Prince of Persia was fun to play but don't remember too much about it. I still have the Need for Speed driving games on my computer and I think I can do one or two of them in VR. Some of the other games you mention I have known about, but never tried them. In the day, Prototype had a great parkour and fantasy power thrill of being a mutilated superhero with a fainting grasp of becoming powerful enough to be ok with everything happening in the world. I really enjoyed it, and although it may be because i hadnt been abused and numbed by all of the follow abandonware the gaming market would mindlessly throw out later. Sleeping Dogs was a great time as well with a mix of openworld beatem up progression with a faction divided system and decent driving mixed with some mad max like acrobatics starring a jackie chan stunt double, if there was actually one, lol.

I find Witcher 3 boring and the combat sluggish and clunky feeling, even the update couldn't save it for me, it's just not my jam. I did however play through all 3 Tomb Raider games a few months ago, highly addictive and engaging games, all 3 of them, and I agree the second game is the best one.

Agree. Witcher 3 is not for me either. I tried to start it 3 times in recent years. But I never came very far before it got too boring to continue. Compared to open World Horizon Zero Dawn, it just doesn't give me the same combat experience. Tomb Raider are great. All 3 of them. I do like the snowy environment in the 2nd the most. Overall however I would give a slight advantage in gameplay and story to the third. But then again I am not sure, the 2nd has alot of things I like as well. Story-wise maybe even the 1st is best. Because it introduces Lara and her beginnings. Which is pretty cool and no other Tomb Raider ever tried, even the old ones. Though gameplay and graphics aren't as good as of the other 2. If someone never played any of the 3 Tomb Raiders, I would suggest to start from the beginning. Story-Wise that makes the most sense and gives the full experience.

PROTOTYPE doesn't work on PC. There are work-arounds to fix resolution issues, crashing etc, but even after finally getting it to "work" it still had strange JUDDER (quick stutter). It might work smoothly on a GSync/Freesync display but I doubt it.

Good List, nice to see the old stuff Dont agree with #1 Witcher 3 might be as good as you say but the fact it used 99 button combos to do stuff makes it just too much "work" to play there are way too many actions.. Probably my problem, but when game controllers started having 10 Plus buttons it was downhill. Surprised Old School Fallout 3 and Skyrim are not on the list, maybe too new. Enjoyed it nonetheless.

I’m kinda burnt out with Baldurs gate 3 at the moment. I love playing it, but my fomo is actively hindering me from playing more cause I don’t want to fuck up by accidentally skipping stuff that is required for a good outcome and the game doesn’t really tell you when you when you’ve hit a spot where you’ll auto fail certain quests. I’m just looking for a fantasy rpg with real time combat that’s also story heavy at the moment but I can’t seem to find any ones that I haven’t played yet. For reference I’ve played the witcher 3 excessively and I’m too shit at video games to play souls likes so if anyone could give me some recommendations for either ps5 or xbox that would be amazing.

Paid $5 for Dragon's Dogma and bitterblack isle a year ago the best $5 I ever spent over 150 hrs to complete it is a great game. So was Rise of the Tomb Raider. not on this list Star Wars Jedi fallen order also a fun game. Never played Witcher 3 but it is at the top of my list now that I have a PS5 couldn't play it on the switch it was just to ugly.

Witcher 3 does not have that good combat though, but most everything else is great. And RDR2 is a such a sloth. Everything is so slow and takes so long it's exhausting to even start the game. I agree Rise of the Tomb Rider is the best one in the series, though I don't think it would make my top 10 list anyway. And that is where the similarities of our lists end 😉

So the fans ***k. Most Wanted 2005 is levels above Underground 2. Also, NFSMW 2005 is Autumn/Summer, Underground 2 is Dusk, Carbon is Night. They are very different, and each valuable on its own.
