+Free Thinker in this case I think the cheap carabiner will break first
@papasean89536 жыл бұрын
Agreed & it's generally not at all wise to attach & regularly wear around any appendage (wrist,neck,etc) anything rated up to 550 lbs of pressure (I.e. Paracord ) When I was younger my dads friend was sucked into machinery by his necktie.... I worked at another place where a woman was decapitated when her hair got caught in machinery...... If I wear something around my neck, wrist , or waist it's gonna be rated 8 -10 pounds rated give (15 max) I personally like thin leather sinew for necklaces or bracelets
@cagedtigersteve3 жыл бұрын
Yes especially since your wrist is an easy place to break. Better to just train your dog to not chase squirrels.

What if the dog is stronger than you like a 150 pound Rottweiler. That thing is gonna pull you and you won't be able to let go so you aren't being dragged. This has happened to me on gravel and the only reason I didn't get hurt was because I let go of the leash after sliding on gravel for a second.

If you have a really big dog that's really strong, those dollar store carabiners wont work as a leash clip substitute. They can break easily by the dog jerking and pulling. You might want to invest in those ones used to climb with. The ones that can take upwards of 300 pounds of force.

a couple of hacks we use carabiners for, we use one to hold car keys, makes it easier to pull keys off when you got to a mechanic, I have used the same carabiner to help hold my pants up, half way through my work shift, I realized that I forgot my belt, took the carabiner and hooked it through 2 belt loops, held my pants up the entire shift. The other hack I use is with my close line outside, I can't find the proper item to keep my close line from drooping to the ground, a few carabiners here and there keeps the line up, and slides across the top rope ok.

a couple of good ideas in there, I like the hanging bag trick and the hairband hanger is something I've done for years.. yes I'm a guy with long hair and a long beard. The carabiniers you used though are only meant for light duty and the moving piece can give out unexpectedly, I had a Walmart model similar to what you used break on me the other day as I was removing a key ring, there were only 4 key rings each with one or at most 2 keys and some kind of fob so it wasn't a disaster, just annoying. I'm not sure I would trust my mastiff/rotti mix to one of them either, although she is sweet tempered and well trained I want something more substantial except perhaps in an emergency.. but then I don't use a regular leash, I pass one end of a line through a spliced eye to form a loop the goes over her head and do the same with the eye on the other end to go over my wrist.. any way.. nicely done video

Sam & Dean Winchester (Supernatural TV show USA) really needed a few good carbineers & Paracord bracelets to affix to their demon killing blade & Colt revolver for sure.... It would have saved them a few butt whippings for sure!!!! That being said the rope tightening hack is also great for pulling your tent ropes tight, attach a carbineer to a dish towel to hook on your cabinet door for quick hand dry access when preforming tasks at sink its easily removed & keeps the towel up if you dont have a towel bar. For vulnerable persons keeping a mace/bear spray/frequency alarm on your key chain/bag/belt loop etc. to be easily removed & held in your hand, before you walk into areas of concern (ie: walking to your car) its an easy access solution that can help you in your struggle against an attack. For parent/guardian different colored hooks can identify bags/lunch pails for children that may look the same otherwise.

This guy is totally stupid. None of his videos make sense. You should see the video where he recomends using pvc pipe as a breaker bar to take off a car tire!!! I don't know why this dumbass gets soo many views, but the vid popped up and that's why I clicked on it....
@j58920008 жыл бұрын
well there are certain uses for for pvc pipe that arnt only water or electrical and there are ways to apply the pvc pipe to the tire bit so it doesn't snap. its not as reliable as the actual tools but pvc can be very durable surprisingly and its a cheaper alternative . it also has the advantage of being able to customly build something that might not exist in stores at the moment.obviously the pvc pipe does have its limits tensile strength but in a pinch and providing the nut its on too tight and the tool you need might not be around. it sometimes can work. this isnt a guarantee kind of video. hes just giving us ideas on what we might possibly also be able to use if needed. im and quite the beast when it comes to ingenuity so this isnt impressive to me, but ill often click to see if i can get new ideas or be entertained a bit.

WRONG. Please, Never put a karabiner on a dog leash, (chain or wire) the way you suggested to replace a broken clip. It is highly dangerous for the safety of the dog. Look back at the old clip; it swivels so the chain or lead or wire never becomes tangled. A karabiner has no swivel. Dogs have died by this way. The chain, rope, leash or wire becomes so twisted it twists the collar and the dog chokes to death. Very irresponsible of you to suggest this. Otherwise, overall, you have some good ideas in your videos. Some are fluff (fillers)and a bit naff and silly, but until now, (apart from the silly pipe under the plank 'trick'), they have not been dangerous suggestions. This is. Please think about putting up an edited disclaimer for the suggestion.
