So here I am again. Just because you were so kind to answer, I took a lot of effort to try again. I own a private fine work place and am quite handy, being a profesional electric guitar builder. This time, I made several little tools with subtle differences in form and shape, made from different wires and paper clips. I put on big lights, used a small vice to control the position of the locks and tried it with a lot of patience and different approaches. During two hours. I tried to open 10 different pad locks of different brands, a few of them rather cheapy. Both small and large ones. Results: None of them opened. 0% There is nothing easy about this technique, that's for sure now.

I suppose if the battery is dead and not a rechargeable battery, you could use it to make shims, but you could also make them out of beverage cans and not deal with toxic heavy metals. 1, 2, and 4 are just improvised versions of lockpicking tools, 3 is just the two wrenches method people like Lockpicking Lawyer already covered, and 5 isn't even opening a lock, it's just making an improvised lock cover made of plastic and glue so it has less security than the cheapest ones you can buy.

Handy tricks can make life easier. I needed to fly a lot for my work and stay overnight in hotels. How often I used to lose my luggage key and needed someone at the reception to force my suitcase zipper open! Once I went on holiday with a colleague and she immediately opened the tiresome zip with a hairpin. But even more surprisingly we never needed to use our room key. She simply used her credit card to open the door. After the hotel reception got upset and sent a guard after us, we stopped. When I asked her, how she knew all these tricks, the answer was:" I have 4 brothers." Did I learn to use my credit card to open the door at home? No. Regards from northern Europe.

The first one is called raking and you are supposed to do it in and out a lot faster. If you do it slowly it's sort of randomly picking. It will still work if it's a simple lock with just three pins. Cheap locks like that are made to look like locks not work as locks so you can just skip the part where you prepare the paper clip and use it as it is.

One should be shaped like the top of the key, with the exact same height of its peaks and valleys. The other should be flat, straight, and possibly thicker if possible. Exactly like the other side of the key. Insert it in the bottom of the keyway, and insert the toothy one atop. Apply pressure clockwise (the handle moves left and upward , while the toothy one simply rotates). If that doesn't work, your teeth aren't quite exact. You'll have to engage in somewhere between 5 minutes to three days of highly suspicious behavior. If police still exist in your area, my condolences. Best not to get caught, as some jurisdictions punish possession of even the most beautifully handcrafted artisanal tribute honoring your favorite of the keys warm and safe in the pocket of the nicest neighbor on your street, even as though they were no more than a crowbar, or fertilizer what some road diesel fell into, or a short sleeved oxford shirt and a volume of KJV fanfic - I'll stop at these three, if they're not popular in your region I'd be interested to hear what's favored in your culture for gaining access to buildings with appropriate respect for their owner's time (seriously, try asking one building owner to authorize you to access their building. They'll quickly make it very clear that they'd appreciate you showing respect in the specific fashion wherein you don't talk to them and definitely don't ask questions, out of respect for their limited reserves of patience, human compassion, basic decency, substantive value to society (non-caloric), or anything approximating grace.

I have done it many times with paper clips. But what I have noticed is, don’t use the cheap flimsy paper clips. Use the heavier ones. Will work every time for you.

@@creationholic101So here I am again.

Pretty sure that #3 works better if you lay one wrench flat and the other vertically on top of it. Unless the lock was made by HiPoint like this one you're probably not going to break the case. It's easier to defeat the pin holding the shank.

"DUH!" Says the "SmArT gUy" who can't think of ANY other USEFUL situations to use the method; like making an emergency copy for another person if places were closed while still needing yours OR to keep from another person being able to go make a duplicate somewhere AND/OR even just a temp copy for someone that you could easily break & dispose of afterward to ensure nobody gets their hands on said copy or can pull it out of the trash, OR even to hide away somewhere just in case you ever lose or forget your keys down the line, etc... BUT NOPE, it could ONLY be useful when needing to make a copy for the purpose of stealing someone else's shit, right dummy?... "DuH!"

Part 5 was a bit strange... rain and corrosion, but with the humid air it will be the same result over time. And what could be interesting is, that a lot of moisture will accumulate and stay in the box. Regarding parts 1-4, many locks are more complex these days, but for the simple locks it will probably work. Still, lots of interesting, fun ideas.

Thank you, I'm not good at speaking English, I'm trying to learn to speak English better.
@-CountZer0-3 ай бұрын
not everyone else's words are your words... when i used to travel internationally frequently, i would frequently hear the complaint that "Americans are so lazy and stupid, you could at least put in a little effort to learn some basic sayings...", i happen to completely agree with this & tried to; but my question to them was "alright, i grew up in los angeles... on an average day i would come across at least 5-6 different languages out of about the, oh, let's say, roughly 33 most common from around the world . so, how would you suggest i choose which ones specifically to concentrate on?" an interesting corollary to this situation is that people who are raised & live in extremely multicultural environments are highly adept at being able to understand even heavily accented & very broken English simply because they've been doing it for their whole lives. we've heard the worst that can be done to the poor language, beyond just "incorrect / incomplete" all the way to "incomprehensibly mangled / acted upon with great malice". they also become very accomplished at interpreting & expressing body language and subtle communication cues; as well as becoming unusually empathic... the prefrontal cortex is an amazing system and to have so much of the brain devoted exclusively to human interaction & interpretation (nonverbal, much, if not most of it) it can get very, very good at it. and generally being able to get this point across without ever speaking the language lol...
