Did not know the PVC threaded adapter would screw into a metal flange. Very useful, thanks.

I use floor flanges and PVC for many things. One which is very easy as a plastic shelf support. Store bought plastic shelving is not stable. Use a floor flange with 1 inch pipe screwed to overhead support. The length of pipe should be inserted into the factory pipe about a foot or more. One at the front one at the back. This will stop the shelf unit from falling over. Another thing from a different video. The bat house one. That was the best description of how and why to do things I've heard. Now I'll watch the rest of this video. Had to write beofe my short term memory kicked in..

#9, try putting some weights in the end opposite the camera, then it will float with the camera up out of the water, could probably make videos that way too

Skateboard rail is good for skiing too. made a few backyard park setups with it. make sure all the ice is off. a layer of paraffin wax helps keep it off but will need to be re-applied at the end of every session

Here's one for you. Rounded PVC end caps work great under the legs of tube style beds, they keep the legs from digging into carpet and act kind of like those "moving men" sliders.

I have seen all your hacks to date and like your channel very much . Here is an idea for you with a heavy base you can use pvc to create a cat tree for your cats with shelves at various levels and cover them with a piece of rug so the'll be comfortable and for an added benifit wrap the uprights with rope (sisal is great) for a scratching post.. You can make a pvc triangle 90* and connect the 2 then add a board covered with carpet and it'll sit on a o just below a window sill ( board overlap the sill ) so cat can sit on it and sun or look out the window to watch the birds etc outside . Have you made a pvc pan lid storage rack? Would love to see what u come up with. I’ve been taking in the whole series and haven’t seen one yet. Series takes me back some 40+ years when my dad made pvc chairs for our front porch. Everyone thought he was nuts when they saw the first one. After he had made all 4 he started getting requests to make them to sell. My mother and I made canvas sling type seats for them and made one woven seat using webbing. Dad would have loved to see the many things u make. Thanks!

Great ideas. By the way, A few weeks ago you posted a video on hacks. One of them was how to charge your phone if you didn't have you're AC plug. My wife was out of state and told me she forgot the plug. I had just finished watching your video where you said just plug your phone into a flat screen TV. It couldn't have happened at a better time. Thanks so much.

Hey, What is that behind you on your left side on the top of the shelf? Can you turn the skateboard into a balance board? How can you use the magazine rack idea to make a double level swing bookshelf display?
@SpecificLove7
@SpecificLove7 7 жыл бұрын
+Timothy Mathetes I think you are talking about the rubber band machine gun. For the balance board, just use a 3+ inch pipe with a piece of wood on top.

I have a project challenge for you. I tried to build a 10'*10' trade show pavilion frame from pvc. I made the mistake of allowing a family member help and the finished project was not at all what I intended and was not easily transported, assembled, or dismantled. it has to have a tarp cover which will protect the vendors and customers from the elements and will not sag and form water pockets.

I'm sure there's a reason why there isn't a canopy already designed with PVC.... it's not strong enough for your requirements!
@allanmclean6659
@allanmclean6659 6 жыл бұрын
What size of PVC pipe did you use? 1' PVC makes a sturdy frame (mine is for a shade, using a tarp) but is assembles reasonable quickly and works well. You may need to use some 1 1.4" pipe to make three way angles at the top, to make the 'cube'.) (some holes and 1/4' pins keep it together, use the kind of pins used to keep farm equipment together) ..

You just took me back to when I first discovered PVC (and I’ve been in love ever since)! I used to demo As Seen On TV products at trade shows and we used PVC to build our banner stands. Good luck with your project!

A friend passed. His girlfriend got everything and she has a perpetual sale. I asked her how much for all the new pvc joints, etc (no pipes). She said $25 per milk crate full. I don't know if that's a good deal or not. I just found you recently which gave me the ideas.
