While this is a great achievement, the thing to be noted here is he didnt get that offer because he dropped out but because he was experienced in programming and already was heading in the right direction. He geared himself with the knowledge and programming experience he needed to get a job. Also, imo getting a degree, even for namesake can be useful if say, you decide to immigrate or something.

So, before giving you a guidance, I would introduce myself so that you know from whom you are taking advice and judge whether it's a genuine one or not. I have done a Bachelor's in Computer Science and have got a job at TCS. First of all, you mentioned that you want to become an android developer. So, you should try to figure out what are the skills of an android developer, what technologies he needs to work on, etc. So, in short, an android developer works on Android Studio to build responsive apps. The language he uses for the same is either Java or kotlin. So, try to learn both languages by seeing KZbin tutorials and make notes. Also, make some useful android apps to get an experience. This will make you stand apart from the crowd. As you know HTML, CSS and JavaScript, you are well on your way to building your portfolio. Mention your mobile apps in the portfolio. This is a little guidance I can give. Hope this helps 🙂.

Degree is just an entry point for your job application. Once your job application is accepted, degree is of no use, then only your skills matters.. Unfortunately in India, many companies have attitude of hiring only from tier 1 college or atleast tier 2 college to showoff their company's reputation...

I wish companies recruit people based on skills and not based on btech degree. Sadly many MNCs recruit people based on degrees which is really disgusting. I hope one day every company accepts candidates based on skills and not on btech degree cause yes colleges can't teach real life practical stiff which we can get from online programmes.

In my experience ye pahle mere mail pr test link send kiya aur test k 2 din baad call kiya aap qualify kr gye aap course le lijiye aapko 100 percent placement dilwaunga caurse ka fees 1 lakh bataya mana krne pr bahut gande tarike se baat kiya.😭😭
