I think nothing matches the Fatfreq SE in regards to sheer base, but the Z1R is the full experience in regards to presentation and tamber. It's strong and powerful, but also extremely well executed. Least that has been my experience with the Z1R so far, it's probably been my favourite IEM.

@shaami8622 Жыл бұрын
In terms of quality and technical performance, the s12 takes the cake. The ie200 just hv more treble, abit more balanced, and ig its smaller too, just need to cover up she vent and perhaps upgrade from the "trash" accessories which does bump up the price.
@infiniteuniverse805 Жыл бұрын
The Dunu SS tips makes my S12 fit a bit better and also enhances the sound output (at least to me). This maybe due to their more squarish shape of the ear tips, compared to my SpinFit CP145's I tried the set with. Ymmv but just wanted to offer this up in regards to your "fit" comment. 👍

If you care for your hearing, investing in higher resolvability iems is recommended in my opinion. If you wear iems several hours per day, I think it is good to invest more for the very long term. Of course there is more value depreciation with expensives iems. That being said, solid expensive iems last longer and I find sony good in this department (I can't tell about your iems). It's hard to know what your ears will like before you listen to it. I believe Variations is said to be analitic though. Check giz's ranking list

CCA HM20 is a great $70 hybrid IEM with a V-shaped tuning. Bass monster in both quantity and quality but still surprisingly technical for the price. Sounds about on par with the hexa to me after EQ but the bass masks the details a bit with stock tunung. Would recommend if that sounds like what you're looking for.
@MariaAudioChick Жыл бұрын
I just left a long post for some of my budget faves, but just wanted to chime in on HM20. I don't own these, but I've auto eq'd, with fine tuning, hundreds of iems, including end game sets, and most the ones in this video. HM20 is one of my favorite sound profiles. I use this profile to test the bass qualify. on my IEMS. Amazing on my Kbear Rosefinch and Liberty Z2. Haven't tried them yet on D-fi or Wa'ner, none of the other sets can keep up with the bass. I can imagine how good these must sound, on my list for whenever I can afford them. Not sure why so many people are anit-EQ. Sound is so subjective. Not to mention what sounds great on one song can sound like crap- or at least not ideal, on another, no matter how good your source is. I've Eq'd since I started listening to music and I'm now obessed with auto-Eq. It's become an issue. Lol.

I just don't get it, before sennheiser ie600 was "endgame at a lower price" and now it's "just slightly better than ie200"? Does that mean the ie200 is actually very good or that the ie600 is not as good as everyone said?
@Rsalmond83 Жыл бұрын
It’s a better value over the ie600 and gets you there at a budget price
@goldenwing8184 Жыл бұрын
tbh, i tried both and if you were happened to buy the ie200, you will see that the ie600 is actually not worth considered its price unless you REALLY into the sound sig i think.
@AverieS820 Жыл бұрын
ie200 is very good and so is ie600... issue is that price to performance has a very steep drop-off especially for IEMs. There's still a noticable difference in techinical performance between the two, but it might not be worth the 600 extra for most people.

Can wholeheartedly recommend to the IE 600 but with a BIG caveat - quality control is in the shitter, driver failures are increasingly common. Probably why it's been going on sale for as much as $300 off. Sennheiser's warranty and customer service is excellent so far and sent a replacement quickly, but be warned.

Auto EQ then fine tune the details, load onto Wavelet and enjoy. No it won't be the same exact sound but it will come close enough as long as you have a decently capable IEM.
@En_Joshi-Godrez Жыл бұрын
@@MariaAudioChickyou cant auto eq coherency. Ultimately, once you get used to a one drive set up, you notice incoherence caused by multi driver types of multi driver iems. I know you'll disagree, but that comes from a lack of education and confirmation bias because that the way you like to spend your money.
@En_Joshi-Godrez Жыл бұрын
@@MariaAudioChickwavelet also has a bunch of problems. Check out the measurements online (I cant type the actual website, but it begins with R and ends in T). They found wavelet's frequency response is not smooth, it has a stair-like pattern, because it doesn't have a real parametric function, it's a 127 band fixed-width EQ. Get a qudelix, which has a real parametric equaliser.
@MariaAudioChick Жыл бұрын
@@En_Joshi-Godrez Thanks for that. I've always manually eq'd music but on a very basic level. I actually have spent a lot of time fine tuning the auto eq tune with multiple versions of every set in order to find the best sound., It's kind of a bummer if they sound completely different than the originals but I've got a lot of really good EQ presets now, too many, lol. I am looking into a program for my pc and will look at the ones you mentioned. BTW I don't expect the eq'd IEMs to sound exactly like the actual ones, especially multi-dirver units, but I'm getting a lot of variety and lot of improvements on the sound. BTW, maybe don't predjudge people, it comes off as condescending and there is no need for that. You had some good info to share and a lot of people would have ignored it which sucks. I'm open minded and not easily offended and like having conversations even with difference of opinion. As you can see I didn't disagree. I'm new to this and soaking everything in, learning a lot. My suggestion on auto eq btw, was because they mentioned that it was expensive. Even with the issues you mentioned, I still think it's a good tool to experience different sound profiles and help you narrow down the types of IEMs you'd be into. And it's especially nice for things you'll never afford. May even help one find a similar sound on a more affordable set.

Unfortunately, S12 lacks activity/angry in the midrange. The middle, as it were, is there - but you constantly want to move/stir it up. You make it louder - this peak at 8 kHz starts to interfere. For example, track "London Kid" (Jean-Michel Jarre) - performed by the same C2 Warrior covers you with a wave of emotions and nothing interferes with this. In the performance of S12, this, unfortunately, is not.

Fun and funner, flip flop the order depending on how you like your bass...$15 Kbear Rosefinch, the bass is insane, rumbles you can feel, layered, controlled. Hip hop is savory and delish AF.. According to Akros sounds better than Legato to his ears and I have a similar sound preference...$5 FZ Liberty Z2, I call them RF lite. Bass quality just as good, I catch myself saying wow outloud at least once every iisten... EQs and scales beautifully as well, no distortion. Loud too. Can listen to a wider variety of music on these. this one continues to blow my mind, 5 freakin dollars, resin with metal faceplate,, metal nozzles, decent cable/tips for the price. I don't know if I got lucky with my set but let's face it, these are basically free. I probably listen to these the most. So comfortable, can listen to them all day, the only IEMs I can sleep with. Grew up in the 80s in Florida with 808 booty bass. I hate mushy sound and distorted crap bass. I like hearing as much detail as I can (on a budget) and am more than ok to lose a bit of detail in the name of great deep, bouncy, body shaking bass when the music calls for it :) I also love melodic music, instruments, and airy vocals which will not do well on the RF, are decent on Z2, but best on CS2 and the rest Getting the RF after being let down by the bass on the BL03. is when I realized I was a basshead. I don't understand when people say that the Wan'er and Hola have bass. lol. Hola's bass is boomy with zero layers and very mild at that. D-fi non-tunable is satisfying enough with eq and amp. So yea, those 2 uber budget IEMs keep slamming their way to the top of my listens. Sgor Venus gets honorable mention, not quite as good as D-fi, bass is boomy but bigger and funner than Hola/Wan'er. It's present without being the star. My set is clean, clear and balanced, not to mention beautiful. Cable is crap, comes with KZ Star tips which I don't care for but some people like. I use Kbear 07 and upgraded cable. Getting the feeling that there is a QC issue with these based on reviews. I like it better than Wan'er and Hola. Actually sounds like a bassier Hola, they have similar build too, perhaps made by the same people? And if looking for more highs based fun on an ultra budget- $5 TRN CS2. Everyone I've had listen, non-audiophiles to be blear, can't tell them apart from Wan'ers. They are comfy, good enough to go w/stock accessories though I love cables and tip rolling so I always upgrade. Sound is crisp , detailed and a great 3d feeling thanks to all that air. That being said, they have significantly more upper mids/treble/air, which to me sounds really good but gets fatiguing and shouty with some songs at louder volumes. These are all the sets I own, so while I can assume there is better sound to be had moving up in price, these all sound pretty damn good as someone trying to enjoy a wide variety of music with nice sound on a budget Stocking up on Z2 and CS2s, along with $2 mini wireless adapters for gifts.
