The scary thing is, Gotham may be average, in that, MOST serial killers aren't this flamboyant, like, Dr Pig, and, Joker! And, some of them are usually, only known in Gotham, after running afoul of it's police force, and, the Batman. Then, they keep coming back, to try to beat him, and, prove they were RIGHT! Like, Joker, Mr. Freeze, even Penguin, keeps trying to see if he can outwit the Bat.
@petergant87674 жыл бұрын
@@greenghost7907 I disagree, Batman doesn't create these criminal, BUR, he usually does run into them around the time they become public. This is a man who is driven to use every means at his disposal to stop crime so what happened to young Bruce might never happen to anyone else. He's not perfect and, I think he knows it, he makes mistakes, like The Möbius Chair, and, Knight fall Batman, and Jason Todd(He didn't get him killed, though he did fail to see that he might go off on his own, and, THAT'S what got Jason Todd killed)

@Steven Pounsett Batman’s pretty much the only thing that keeps DC still relevant. If there was no Batman to keep DC afloat, then they would no longer be a company. I honestly don’t care about either company. I’m not a Marvel fanatic nerd and am not that into comic books nowadays. I think DC has better & darker story lines than Marvel a lot of times; I do agree that the Marvel story lines r corny and are not really thought provoking these days. But regardless, I just call it as I see it & am only being realistic.
@gigeorge6sic64 жыл бұрын
@Steven Pounsett good for them I guess. The mainstream audience, that pretty much base their entire fandom on the comic movie franchises, most likely didn’t care about Wonder Woman before her movie hit. Ppl used to always make fun of Aqua Man before his movie came out. But if it wasn’t for DC having Batman for all those years, they probably wouldn’t have lasted long enough to make their movies and attract a vast audience of new fans who want to buy their merchandise and comics. The whole point of releasing the movies is to attract new audiences & increase profits. A lot of ppl who are non-comic nerds didn’t even know who the Avengers were, including Iron Man & Thor, until the movies started coming out When did I say comics is a dying medium? I just don’t watch comic book movies, especially Disney’s crap, because I think a lot of those movies are garbage & don’t really have artistic value (except for the Joker movie and Dark Knight trilogy is pretty good)

Yeah, Black Hand also created the Black Lantern Corps, who recharge their rings by ripping the hearts out of their victims
@Zindoriffic4 жыл бұрын
not to be "that guy", but the black lantern rings don't need recharging... They don't use their rings, the rings use the corpses and their memories. The only reason for the hearth consumption is to summon Nekron to turn the universe back into a forever death and darkness state. The Power-battery was mainly charged (in a constant charging state) by the remains of the Anti-monitor. William Hand is also turned into the physical Embodiment of death, just like Parallax is the embodiment of fear, or Ion is the embodiment of will aso. Scar was the one who created/puked up the first black (After killing and capturing some of the Guardians) ring that would find William Hand and turn him into the first Black Lantern. I mean no offense with this. As I am confident that you know all this, but probably only decided to do a short explanation. Blackest night is my favourite Comic of all times, so I couldn't help but add on the more precise information on how it goes. "Comics are awesome!"

@@dreadknotrecord9472 While this is true to a degree, if you actually believe that people in asylums make up even a sizable fraction of the people with mental issues, even severe ones, then I have news for you: they don't. This especially since some people in asylums are just gaming the system by pretending to be insane, and thus are more dangerous to the staff and other patients than the actually insane people. So even real-life modern asylums back up what the original poster was saying that superhero comics are pretty bad about, especially DC and especially with Batman.
@hangebza66254 жыл бұрын
@Chi well this is a tricky question. But people are very, very, very, very good in repressing inconvienent truths or telling themselves that they are in the right, or afterwards that they did not know any better. A simple example: think about the millions of people who helped the nazis to commit their crimes, or were indifferent about it. The vast majority of them were regular people. Or slavery in general. Were all slave owners madmen? No, they were not. I wouldn't even say they considered themselves amoral. As I said; repressing of inconvient truths. On a modern example; it is public knowledge how inhumanley sweatshop workers in India and Bangladesh are treated. But still companies and customers accept this suffering for cheap products. You and me both probably partcipated in this systems as customers. Are we mad because of it? I think not. The list could go on and on and on. And that are just the largest whales. The list of small, interpersonal evils could be much larger.

@Chi As Han Gebza lengthily points out, humans are *very* good at justifying and rationalizing the outright horrible things we do to each other.
