I'm totally on board with robotic food prep! Every time I go to my local fast food place and order the exact same item, it comes out different because a different staff member makes it. Humans are fallible-one day my burger is perfect, the next day it's a mess. It's a clear reminder that no matter how much training, humans just can’t replicate the same meal consistently. With robots, at least I’d know exactly what to expect each time I order. That level of consistency would be a game-changer!

I approve of this. Workers have no pride and the cite “not getting paid enough” as the reason why. That’s no excuse to suck at your job. There’s no reason why a McDonald’s hamburger should have two handfuls of onions on it. It doesn’t take a genius to consistently assemble a burger the way you were trained.

I'm all for an automated kitchen. However, all these inventions are essentially just industrial robots doing the work. Their capabilities have improved to handle more advanced tasks. At first glance, it seems very sophisticated, but a closer look reveals that there are only a few well-known techniques being used in the same way across all solutions. What I appreciate most is that bread is baked in the store as needed, which I interpret as reducing bread waste. Since the machine is large, it should be able to bake various types of bread, thus reducing the space needed for the bread section. It would be great if one could place an order for a unique type of bread before starting their shopping, so they can pick up their freshly baked bread when leaving the store. I understand why large displays are used for placing orders, but I wonder why not just as well do it via a mobile phone to avoid queues and reduce the risk of spreading infections.

wikipedia says they have a 41 km range (25 miles) which means 41/2 = 20.5 km radius (12.7 miles). This kind of stuff is the future. @illtryanything52647 ай бұрын
@@elnet1 Whaddaya mean "once it happens". I've been living in the industry for 4 decades and that time is upon us now, and getting worse. Unfortunately, that means the razor thin margins may be irretrievably whittled away by several factors and employee churn is out of control. Maybe once robots are considerably cheaper, and menus are adapted to their use. 30% of a restaurant is labor, 30% is cost of goods. Thus, the statement of investing outside of a robot.
