I agree my stock bars would have me laying over my tank. I just got the 8 mini apes and I like them over my stocks 100%

I just put 16 inch fmb blazed apes on my scout bobber about a month ago. pain in the ass but i love riding the bike now. to get the wires through my bars i had to take off most of the sleeves around the wires so they could slide through. running the wires through the bars was by far the hardest part of the whole project.

pretty cool! My softail slim had the hollywood handle bar set-up but I switched to mini apes as well, definitely improved the handling and because they were narrower lane splitting was also easier. great job Ricky!

Those handle bars most definitely suit the Scout and probably feel a whole lot more comfortable to ride. You didn't give us an angle shot on what the bike looks like now. Next upload I guess 👍

Bars to look better. I remember the aggervation of trying to run wires inside bars when i did my Z bars. Problem with mine was they were used and already had old wires in there that I had to take out and some of the protection came off inside of the bars. Was able to get it out but still wasn't fun running the wires through there.

Awesome video! I've been wanting to do the same thing. Same handlebars, same '21 Scout Bobber ABS, so this video came in clutch! Thank you. Sorry if I missed it in the vid, but did you have to bleed out your brakes?

I did bleed the brakes. I didn't mention it, though. The front brake line was new, so I bleed the brakes, put new lines, and added dot 4. I decided to make it more or a " tips" video. Things i found out. Instead of a how-to. But each step could have been a video by itself. Like bleeding brakes, changing clutch cable, removing tank, etc. I can answer anything having to do with the process if you need, though

No. These fit with hardly anything to spare

@Texas Riding I bought mine directly through Barnett. These bars are 10" so I ordered for the Scout twenty. I unfortunately don't know what length that is. But if you can research the length of those and ad 2 inches you should be alright. They might have an actual phone number to call and ask.

@@RickyBobber agreed with you here. I have the Bobber Twenty and the clutch cable leaves NO room to spare even for 2" higher bars. The ABS brake line on the other hand should have enough extra room to go 12" and replacing the clutch cable appears to be easier than the brake line so that's good.

I don't ride an Indian, but I just randomly came across your video, and I wanted to watch your installation. Maybe you can get the heated grip wiring in, if you tape them really tightly to the other wires, then use dishwashing soap in your bars. Also, it would look better, if you switched your mirrors. I don't know why the company would "metric" their mirrors. Harley mirrors have the narrow ends facing outward. Indians aren't metric bikes, just like Harleys aren't. I hope you get a refund or exchange on those blinkers.

I think it was just too much wire for the bars honestly. I did end up getting a refund on the signals. Thanks for watching man
