More videos like this! Immediately applicable, and simple chord structure so bass players in church can use it in a bunch of different songs. Maybe 2-5-1 bass licks next?

Thank you for playing these licks with a four-string because many of us don't have a five-string, and it's nice to play along with my instrument.

I must say -- I have over 300 videos on KZbin featuring the bass in all styles of music. But to be honest, although I've even played a few Gospel gigs (and recorded some Gospel Bands) it was never a style that had a lot of meaning to me. And all those bass runs I'd hear guys played just seemed like sequenced pentatonic licks. But your videos have turned my head around. There's some really unique voicings here and your playing is smooth as silk. (I'm lovin' Licks # 8 &10 ) And you get a better sound out of your Indonesian Music Man than I do! LOL

Hi Travis, I love lessons like this. I hate to admit it but this is how I have to learn songs, riffs, licks, etc. I think all of your lessons and lectures are good. I like all of the licks in this lesson but licks 8 and 10 are my favorites. Thank you.

Please more videos like this! Moreover, if you could even maybe go a layer deeper and explain the "why" behind the licks you're doing, that'd be even more helpful! The last lick you went through sounds great, but getting a little bit of theory on top of what you're doing would really help to drive it home, as well as help to come up with my own similar licks while improvising. Thanks for all you do!

Great vid, like the licks. I got all of them up to the one with the chords. My fingers would not cooperate. I can get the ones after that, but I need to work to get them up to speed. I think I was getting confused by some of the later tabs because they didn't match the rhythms and bars as expected. Would love to see more like this. Thanks!

Thanks a lot for your videos watched all of them and allows me to be better worship bassist. I have a question about learning songs very quick including riffs and without making mistakes. can you please share your method. the reason is that other people have asked me to play for them. sometimes i feel overwhelmed all the songs that I have to learn
