Today's Video is a quick Show and Share of how I make "Cloth Yarn" using scraps of cloth strips. Think about recycling some old sheets from the thrift store too!

Yes!! I think it was the technique you used to make the ratty ragbag that I have that you made. I get (or should I say you get because I always give you credit for making it) compliments whenever I am out with it. I have lots of novelty fabrics left over from making I spy quilts for grandkids in the past and they are not fabrics that I would use for other projects. I've been wondering how to use it and I think you've just come up with the perfect solution! A crocheted rug would be awesome I think. Or maybe I'll start small at first and try to make a crossbody ratty ragbag.❤ Thanks so much for the idea Jeri!

I can't wait to see the things you've made. I am huge into upcycling and this seems like a grand idea. One question I have is about weights and fiber content. What kinds of things can be mixed into a "skein" and what is better to avoid mixing. Because I can guarantee you, I will be mixing things up. I can't help it.

Mi hai fatto venire in mente che molto tempo fa avevo visto un video(non ricordo di chi)di una donna che, per usare queste strisce,aveva creato lei una specie di ago ,e poi ,usando queste strisce infilate nell'ago,creava dei bellissimi tappeti tondi .L'ho visto molti anni fa e non ricordo bene,ma,faceva passare l'ago attraverso dei nodi che si venivano a creare e aveva tappeti meravigliosi...non so come si chiama quella tecnica chissà se mi sono spiegata bene e se tu saresti così gentile da insegnarcela, o comunque se ci faresti vedere cosa creare con queste strisce.Grazie per il tuo impegno e la tua generosità ❤
