I’ve never taken a quilt class but remember relatives working on them. I love to have my hands working so about 30 years ago when I started my career I decided to make a Dresden Plate quilt. I finally finished each block during the first year of covid. Now I need to find someone to finish the quilt. I have no living family so I plan to give the Dresden plate to my best friend’s daughter. Now that I found you I’m gonna start this type of quilt for my best friend’s son. I just love the muted tones of your blocks.

I just realized that the black stitches look like beading from a distance. …beading as in one of the fine cotton bits used in that fancy hand stitching used when making baby clothes back many years ago. No, I never got so far as to make anything but I would drool over the results. In reality, it was holes, not something that was black….

Hi from Australia, you have inspired me to create your beautiful dots. As a long time quilter it is a very different pattern for me, very modern which is something I have avoided but the colours and concept have really inspired me. Many thanks from Queensland

Great topic! It's challenging to get older. My body hurts and it's hard to keep on going. Slow stitching has helped a lot On the days I feel bad, I can at least make a small block. I look forward to more videos on aging creatively!

I am so glad that I have found your videos. I have been binge watching them. 😂 I so enjoy watching you. I’m 78 and I am so busy I don’t have time to think about my age. I love doing everything crafty..that I can fit into my day, week, whatever. Read my Bible in the morning then I decide what I’m going to work on. If it’s nice out I take hand stitching or knitting out on the deck and my dogs and I enjoy just being outside. Try not to think about anything negative and just live each day for the best time I can. Thank you for now being apart of that day. You sit outside with me sometimes 😂

Hi there Jeri! i'm absolutely loving this coral stitch! it is new to me. i really appreciate how well you demonstrate the stitches for us to be able to learn it so easily. will you please tell me where to buy your fabulous felts that you made your lovely strawberries with? they are really beautiful! i "need" some!! you know how it is. i'm so excited to be joining you and everyone else on the DOT adventures! i'm buying the necessary tools to get started. i'm planning on making these DOT squares into my very FIRST quilt and i'm going to keep it for myself to use. i love your channel and am so happy to have found you through Kathryn several months ago. Jennifer Clouston now has 4 terrific embroidery books and a newish channel. i know you will appreciate her work and her artistic sensibilities. THANK YOU JERI for being yourself and for inspiring us all. take good care. linda from california

I got 2 of her books from the library, I believe it was you that told me about her originally. And I have watched her vids. The strawberries are made from dyed wool. I am going to dye some this summer and will put it in my etsy shop. I'll be sure to let everyone know. I. have a whole bolt of wool! I don't do anything in a small way! 💜

Why do you whip stitch squares instead of hiding the stitches?
@JeriBellini21 сағат бұрын
It's just another way of stitching things together, a different look. I think it looks sort of primitive. You could use matching thread too so you don't see if it you like stitching that way. Thanks for asking, I bet others are wondering the same thing! 💜

This was beautifully explained. Tried my hand on hand applique once and was very quickly very frustrated. But I believe enough time has passed to give it another go. I mean, I'm really good at handstitching down my binding. So straight applique already works 😅

My mom passed in 2006. I inherited her quilting cotton, and I made a hand stitched king sized 1.25” hexi quilt top in the grandmother’s flower garden pattern. It took me 10 years to do, working on and off, but the top is done. I need to get I quilted yet, but it helped me deal with the grief of her loss.
