10 Minutes: Bees on an Artichoke Flower

Ten spectacular minutes of bees feasting on an artichoke left to flower.
Every year I leave some of my artichokes to grow without harvesting. The flowers they produce are some of the most amazing in the world and holy moly, the bees LOVE it!!
The artichoke flowers have a super-nectar hotspot in the middle and that's why the bees dive like they do. MMMM!!

Seeing them explore about inside the flower is really entertaining. I want to get artichokes for my garden one day. I heard they aren't fully winter hardy so I don't have anywhere to store them in pots right now.
