Been there. My son surprised me one Christmas and flew from CA to bring my youngest grandchild to meet me for the first time. She was six months old and I was in the deepest darkest depths of chemotherapy treatment. One of the best days of my life. 🥰

The syrian man and his son essentially coming back to life is beautiful beyond words.....but it kills me at the same time. I have recurring dreams, hyper-vivid dreams, about my brother, and that he didnt actually die, it was just witness protection program, but thats over now and he can come back....and just before I hug him, I jolt awake, I take half a minute to realize that it was a dream, and my brain understands, but my emotions doesnt, in a few heartbeats the 14 year old scar of his passing rips open and that feeling of psychological drowning just takes control ....that feeling only lasts for around 30-60 minutes luckily.
