Kirby is an enigma, a matchup can change entirely depending on if he can get the copy or not. Remember that he had a winning matchup against sheik in her prime in Smash 4 if he got the needles.

Kirby is strange. You can't just know Kirby. You have to know how to play as your opponent as well (Granted this is pretty key for all top level play). I mean though you REALLY need to know how to play as your opponent, AND you also have to know if there's specific varent difference and combos that can be taken advantage of due to Kirby's lighter build and different moveset. Cute little dude.

@@y2kafka472 Isn't it really just knowing how your opponent's neutral b works and whether or not it's worth replacing inhale. As well as knowing any Kirby specific tricks it might have. Like a Kirby player doesn't really need to understand Captain Falcon because Falcon Punch is so bad that you aren't going to risk trying to copy it for yourself On the other hand though, matchups like Steve and Shulk need more preparation because Kirby goes crazy with those neutral Bs.
