Think for leveling and professions one of the best things to do is take skinning + the gathering profession that compliments the crafting profession you want. You can then drop skinning at around level 40 once you have your mount. Even just taking skinning to 75 in the starting zones is worth it imo. So many mobs to skin just laying around from the initial rush. I was able to upgrade my gun, get full bags, and have money left over for all my abilities. It only costs 90 copper to train (10c for training and 80 for the skinning knife) and will more than pay for itself. After the starting zones you can drop skinning and use the mats you’ve saved from your main crafting profession to level it up

Servers Overloaded for days... a nightmare on Fresh. Take Skinning, its the only gathering profession you can be sure to get things to work with (since you get to skin your own beast kills and there are a LOT of beast kills early on). Finding Nodes of herbs and mining nearly impossible for the first 48 hours the servers are up.. many or may not improve, as the layering is screwed on these mega servers. Expect to be poor for months... quests pay badly. Drops from kills are few... even bags at start were not dropping at the expected drop rates as it gets tweaked based on the number of players in a zone in a layer... the more people the worse your odds on drops.

@ idk man I already have my mining skill up to 35 at level 8. It’s not too bad so far. At 60 I can farm Mara for easy raw gold then DM when it opens.

Footbaths are very important. You have to keep Your feet clean and fresh to be running faster. Y'know, more mobility xD

First mistake playing classic wow from blizzard. play turtle for the real vanilla experience

Unfortunately Turtle is nothing like Vanilla experience anymore. Classes are overbuffed, low lvl quests give overstatted rewards. Tried leveling a HC warrior and felt like I was playing Wrath with the new rage gen. Tanked some dungeons on my blue geared 60 pally and never went under 70% mana. Not to mention the server is fully progressed with what seems like every second warrior rocking a Thunderfury

There's ZERO reason to rush. Yes, it's only a year, but unless you're going to be super sweaty, there is no real reason to rush or speed level.
