I don't make any of those mistakes but in my market in the Northwest I don't have the luxury of being selective with Uber. I can avoid rides that are very far away but if I pick somebody up nearby I don't know where they're going because Uber constantly insist on an 85 percent acceptance rate which is impossible over here. I'm in the state of Washington and I'm getting requests to go to the Portland airport to pick Folks up sometimes 10-15 mi away no wonder why my acceptance rate is under 85%. Lyft always lets me know where I'm taking my passenger so I can be selective if I were able to do that with Uber to I can make easily an extra $50-$100 day.

It's total bullshit and unless they are forced to do it i doubt they ever will roll out up front fare and destination where it's not. I'll bet you the acceptance rates of drivers in the states that don't get that information is higher than the states that have it. If you don't have that information how do you know if your turning down a decent trip or a shitty trip where in the states that get the information guys can cherry pick the better rides and deny all the shitty rides they send out therefore acceptance rates are probably way lower in those states versus the states that dont

@@mikewhitley6769 that is very interesting 🤔 I thought that they sent the information to every single driver and that the driver was able to decide if to accept or deny the trip based on the information. Even tho is (sheeetyyy) that they are doing this, I think it hurts them in the long run because I'm pretty sure some drivers or potential drivers get discouraged by this and I'm pretty sure that even tho some guys will accept it regardless eventually they will stop driving for the app do to the fact that if they are not making a decent amount of money they will eventually stop driving and look for another side hustle or job.

I only drive part-time, the standard deduction for taxes is 12,500. Is it worth itemizing or just taking that standard deduction considering that gas and maintenance and appreciation and snacks for passengers on Spotify and all that really only add up to about maybe 7000. Is anybody else just taking the standard deduction and not itemizing? I use trip log, is that kind of like Solo or is solo better?

If you are going for gold or higher tier it does. Some say they will throttle you down for having too low an acceptance but I haven't noticed that

I’ve had 5 stars be before it’s not easy to maintain I’ll go months with it but it always goes back to 4.99 someone will always rate 1 star for no reason. Dropped off on a back road they said it was an unsafe droop off

DO NOT DO IT. IT IS NOT WORTH IT. There is no money to make driving for Lyft and uber anymore. Everybody needs to their math, how much money you are actually taking home. Use your odometer and check your time. How long you are online and how long you are actually active (earning money). I made my math for a month and after a month; in average I am making 11 dollars the hour (without taking in consideration wear and tear of my car, only gas) I feel that actually after wear and tear of my car, maintenance and paying taxes at the end of the year I am coming out on the negative. I do not recommend driving for them. Hey everyone is different is you want to drive for free go ahead, not for me, I would rather go work in retail. Retail is paying 20-22 the hour
